Little wasn't at all IMO, Magoo definitely was, the ink had hardly dryed on his contract before he was off....

We are fickle, of course.

Just how many "You Little Liar" or "Little Greedy Bastard" signs did you see at that Villa game, alex

The most work done by the stewards that day was forcing people to take them down so the media didn't see them

True, but I remember thinking we were all over-reacting at the time. It was obvious he was going to move to Villa for me, made sense as a move for him too at the time I thought....Just my opinion though.

By 99.9% of Leicester fans - as evidenced when Little returned with Villa

Labelled a lying, cheating, lying, scheming, lying greedy bastard of the highest order - how could the lying bastard do such a thing ? etc. etc.

I count this as the blue mongie section, the same section that boos Akinbiyi when he plays against us or boo Leicester players during the game and cheer when they are substituted.

It wasn't

On this occasion it was everyone (apart from alex, obviously )

:icon_roll I was suggesting that the majority of fans are blue mongies and thats why Little was booed.

FFS, very greedy?

Scenario:

Agent: 'Ollie, Leicester are wanting you.....'
Ollie: 'No, I love it here...'
Agent: 'They're doubling your salary..'
Ollie: 'Ok, I'll talk....'

Which member of this forum would not consider a move to another company/job for double pay?

Get real people.

No-one. How many though profess loyalty for the workplace and surrounding area just before buggering off? :102:

But the majority of fans do not boo their own players during the game, or when they are substituted, or when their name is read out, or players such as Akinbiyi etc. - only a small (but vocal) section of utter feckwits

The majority of fans of understand that to do so is bordering on being mentally ill

You were suggesting that the same principle applied to the Little situation

It didn't, it was very different

Well most of us got a bit carried away on that occasion.

In my case - I understood exactly why Little was doing it - and how he was right to do it from his point of view....however I joined in the aggro on that Saturday because it was enjoyable and created a decently hostile environment against the Villa. As i recall we got a creditable 1-1 draw with a crap side - Phil Gee I think with a flukey goal.

What i find a bit embarrassing is those who seriously believe in all this professed loyalty stuff - as we have said many times the only loyalty is with the supporters - not the players; not the manager; not the over paid executives; not even Madaric.

Which is the point I was trying to get accross, the blue mongies actually believed he should have turned Villa down. I was at the game and although everybody was booing it was to get the atmosphere up

If people pay to attend a football match that entitles them to be able to express their opinion. I personally don't understand for one minute the hero worship of Fryatt and Hume, but don't consider those who do it to be "bordering on being mentally ill". If someone is obviously hopeless why shouldn't people comment, albeit a sheep mentality does creep in. I think your comments could justified at times such as when Ronaldinio had that mind-numbing and totally uncalled for abuse during the friendly a few seasons back.

Are you on about our pre-season friendly with Barcelona a few years back?

My recollection was that he was *jokingly* jeered when he touched the ball but when he was substituted he got a standing ovation. Our fans recognised him for the great he is.

Not all chants are to be taken seriously!

You just beat me to it.

Aye - the booing of our own players' names before they have even kicked a ball are the actions of sane, rational people

My memory of it was that for the first couple of corners he took he was loudly booed, with no hint of irony at all. Fortunately, from then on when ever he came down toward the cop end he was clapped by a increasing number of the crowd.

Again, I'm not saying I agree with it, but I was under the impression we live in some semblance of democracy and was just defending the right to express our opinions freely.
