i feel that the thing most frustrating about where we are is the fact that on paper we have one of the best teams in the championship besides WBA. i feel that we just need a manager who can keep a stable team and most importantly get them to gel. it doesnt take a good manager to do this, we just need somebody with experience of dealing with this situatio. its the 11 players on the pitches faul. we need people with leicester city in their hear. i feel Taggert would of been good given time but so may the other 50. just look worthingtons gone on to manage ireland and megson boton! :icon_sad:

Tbh we have to stop thinking that we are better than what we are. We thoroughly deserve to be in our current lge position, there is nothing unlucky about it. If the game was based on hype, then shouldnt England have been the world cup winners in Germany 2006.

I see what your saying, if players like Clemence, DJ, Oakley and Howard, were performing to the level they were last season, we would have one of the best central midfield partnerships in the Championship, and a very good stike force. And i think most people would agree our defence is decent enough for this league.

Our problems are not a result of a lack of ability in the team, its far more complicated than that. Very frustrating.

Well you point out 'Best defence, 2 top midfielders and 2 tops strikers' (well, at least one)... So why are the team 20th? They must be on something. They need to change their dealer. Perhaps me and Old Git can get together and deal them a game of dominoes. They need a return to innocent past-times that do not affect performance.

Tactics and formation. We need to play five acrosss the midfield. The 3 defenders McAuley, Kisnorbo and N'Gotty are strong enough to deal with the majority of attacks. 5 across would strengthen the midfield and give more attacking options. Play Hume and DJ up front, you have a work horse, who is good in the air as well, and a scorer (when he gets going). We need to stop playing players out of position and play a formation to the strength of the players we have and not what the manager finds preferable.
This is why i'm so frustrated with Holloway, to me it's an obvious formation for the players we have, why can't a trained football manager see the same.
Only my opinion of course.
