A pub quiz question once.

"Who was the last English born Premier League player to have played in a WC semi final?"

He probably is still the last English born ex-prem player.

Great player but Scholes at the time was better.
 
Agreed. There seems to be some blue tint on the glasses as some people look back. Muzzy was really good, but the scandal of those years wasn't that he was never asked to play for England, but that Scholes retired early because he wasn't getting in the team ahead of bloody Lampard and sodding Gerrard.

I agree whole heartedly about Scholes, of the so-called "class of '92" he was the best, if Golden Balls hadn't been around he would have been recognised as that.
