Our Season So Far ...

I've always thought that we need someone with height upfront if we play hoofball. Our current strikeforce, apart from Cort (and De Vries), would get jobs as extras in Gullivers Travels. Sappleton has height but is still to prove himself in the firsts. Otherwise we need to revise our tactics and start playing attractive passing football with players getting diagonal passes and running into gaps.

The Sappletiser should be reserved for moments when we are being humiliated or cruising to victory - a 'taking the piss' player.

His touch is poor and he lumbers about, he's miles from being a first team player (although I love him to bits and I hope he makes it).

On a serious note I really think that the next month or so will either make or break our season. A loss to West Brom and Ipswich will plunge this club further into the relegation mire, but a few wins and a bit of astute buying in the "window" and who knows? Sorry, didn't mean to be serious, got carried away. Sometimes I think this forum should be re-named www.takingthepiss.co.uk. :icon_wink

It's ok OG, I don't actually go to church much, I'm one of these really strange folk that just happened to have a spiritual awakening that can't be explained by science. I'm actually having an icy cold rum & coke right now because it's one of those hotter than hell days down here in Oz. You get up in the morning and discover that the fitted sheet has followed you to the kitchen kinda day? :icon_conf
