Painfully Slow

Am I the only one experiencing this. Today the site has seemed very slow, sometimes up to 5 seconds after I click a link, it responds. It feels like wading through treacle

No other site is behaving like this and I am on an 8 meg connection

Is it as a result of the move?, and will it improve?, or is there a conflict on my PC somewhere, although I can't see where as no settings have changed

The site itself is fine, but it may be a DNS issue as a result of the move. If that's the case I'd expect it to fix itself within a day or so.

The site is now located at one of the big network datcentres in London, when previously it was in Gloucester, so it's closer to the internet backbone and should be less prone to routeing problems.

What is the 'forum button'?

It is very slow at the moment, server load is showing at 400%, which is not good. Just trying to determine the cause.

its mainly when you go from the main page into a forum either via the last post bit or i.e. "music".

Something is hogging all the memory but I can't tell at the moment what it is. I suspect I need to tweak some of the settings but I'm hoping a reboot will cure it, at least for the time being, so the site will be down for a few minutes while it reboots.

I've changed a few settings and disabled a program that I think was causing a problem, so fingers crossed things will be OK now.

If the site does slow down again please post in here. I can only really find out what's causing a problem when the problem is happening, I can't do anything about it when it's working OK, which it seems to be at the moment.

Generally slow. 5 or so seconds to open a thread sometimes, normally pretty instant.

Seems to be OK at the moment, I didn't get the chance to look into it when people had the earlier problems.

Server was showing as being at 100% capacity at the time, but I can't see anything unusual happening to cause it.
Whatever it was though, it seems to have been just a blip, and things are back to normal again now.
