I wish people would stop getting football stats from Wikipedia, they're nearly always out of date.

The actual stats for Lambert at Wycombe:

P 108, W44, L35, D29, 41% won.

Would have seen us comfortably make the play-offs this year - rather than get relegated

Terrible stats that speak for themselves......

I was just about to post an apology for doing that! Sorry :)

He's also 2 leagues lower down don't forget...

(than where we were this year)

And he's doing it with a much inferior squad (allegedly) than we had this year - probably about one fiftieth of the wage bill as well

Fact is he did what he did with the resources available to him in that League - and it wasn't a bad little job at all

According to Outfox the Fox who has posted on Foxestalk, that 2 journolist friends of his from the West Midlands have confirmed that Walsall had 2 names lined up to take over from Richard Money, but the Chairman heard (Yesterday) that Holloway is on the verge of agreeing his severance terms with ourselves and now Walsall plan to speak to Holloway and appointment him early next week.

Obviously a pile of shit

Compared to Holloway's stats at LCFC those Wycombe stats look mighty fine

Enough to get them into the play-offs rather than get the team relegated

But then again you'll be sacking Holloway if he fails to achieve over a 50% win rate in his first ten games of the new season (enough to actually get promoted from League One this season just gone) so your opinion also speaks for itself, doesn't it ?

Yes indeed, and I stand by the fact that Holloway would have to prove very quickly that he can do a job for us in League 1 and hence would have to almost over achieve quickly to prove himself.

What I fail to understand is what Paul Lambert has done to get me excited. He has got a team......................in the same league for the past two seasons? Wow, I have to say that is impressive.

My personal view is that if/when Holloway is sacked we should go for experience as the last few managers we have had clearly haven't been experienced enough to manage a bigger team than the one they came from.

Agreed.

But if Holloway (or indeed, anybody) achieved a win ratio of 50% we would be at the top of the League - or thereabouts

Yet you would be sacking him :102:

If you concede this point then why have you been defending him so vociferously despite his, very obvious, failings?

.

Holloway couldn't manage to keep a team in the same league for one season - yet you clearly think that he is impressive, and appear quite animated that we should be keeping him

How strange

All could probably be said of Holloway at PAFC though.

Unlike Mr Lambert, however, he has since demonstrated perfectly his inability to manage Leicester City Football Club

Well if thats the only criteria for any new manager than MM should be fine. Even he can find someone who hasn't managed us before.
