Sadly the 'post comments' function at the bottom of the page isn't working

Wonder why that is....

What did the tosser expect Pearson to say? "Yes we will try to win the game, but not till after we have kicked the shite out of that ungrateful little prick Twattock".

Maybe he should have tried asking a more pertinent question such as, 'Will City still play fast attacking football as they did against QPR, even though they are at home, where they tend to be more cautious'?

Pearson OUT!

We need a manager who doesn't disrespect us fans by being rude to the press.

Blimey - good point

First the reserves lose 4-0 and now this

How much longer do we have to put up with this awful man ?

Careful BG will start having a go at you again!

He can't help it - he's so 'controversial' and interesting that it just comes naturally to him

Plus it is nearly awards time............

Whilst things are going well, we are all amused by NP's taciturnity with respect to the media: how will we feel were we to hit a rough patch (which we inevitably will) and he declines to explain what he is doing to turn things around?
It will be interesting to see how much of the peon praise in this thread evaporates.

I am certainly not in servitude to Pearson. I cannot speak for Homer and HF though! :icon_bigg

Good comments from Scott Chegg.

The club were quite right to object to the question to Hobbs. If he had wanted a serious reaction from a player the people to ask were Clemence as club captain or Oakley as team captain. The Mercury chose Hobbs because he is young and likely to come out with the kind of thoughtless remark that damged Campnell last season and Mattock this season.

The Mercury don't choose the players that attend the pre-match press briefings. There are usually two players there, this week it was Hobbs and Neilson.

I do hope Dikon will explain the phrase "peon praise" as it has quite thrown me.

Pearson reminds me of an American President in the 1920s called Calvin Coolidge whose nickname was "Silent Cal". A young woman went up to him and said "Mr President I have a bet with my friends that I can get you to say more than three words to me."
The Coolidge reply was "You lose".
