??? Tanner you are spanner?

Journalists have a habit of placing so much importance on themselves that they lose sight of who and what matters.

What a tosser.
Indeed. Even from 5000 miles away, I can see that the only people around Leicester City not enjoying themselves at the moment are the hacks. And other than themselves, who cares what they think? They're just some peripheral hangers on - do we care what the fast food operators think? No, we simply want them to deliver a half decent service. And we most defintely don't want to listen to them whining about their personal circumstances as we take delivery of our pies.

And it's such a brilliant strategy, too. Pitting themselves against the most successful manager we've had in ages. Gosh, I wonder whose side the fans will come down on...? :icon_lol:

It's sad. I used to look up to good journalism once upon a time...

Run of the mill football journalism is easy, it's just a case of taking quotes from the manager/players, and padding them out until you've got enough to fill a few paragraphs.

So well done NP for making their life more difficult.
I'd like to think this will lead to a better quality of article in the Mockery, but I think it's more likely we'll end up getting more of the easy stuff, built around quotes from fans, former players etc, rather than proper in depth reporting.

This bloke and Stringer are lazy wankers. I'd hazard a guess that it didn't take NP long to suss that out. I'd also hazard a guess that he might be a bit more open with a journalist he had a bit of respect for.

He seems a lot more open when interviewed pre/post match on Sky, so I think you may be right.

In fairness to the Merc, I'm suprised they printed that... they very rarely (almost never) say anything negative about the club...

While it's a stupid comment, at least it does express an opinion, rather than just repeating what the club want us to hear...

Nige is free to deal with the media however he pleases, and it doesn't particularly bother me either way as I rarely read interviews as they are usually the same standard comments repeated over and over (particularly pre and post match press conferences)... However I do think that having the media on your side is probably better than them being against you in the long run.

But, I do find Pearson's complete disregard and bluntness with them pretty funny :)

It's from The Mail mate.

What's with all the apostrophes these days Lako? I'm sure you didn't used to do that, are you just trying to provoke a reaction from the pedants?

I never did, and I have no idea why I used one then. I think I have an apostrophe adiction.

I had a tough childhood you know.

Me too. I kept splitting my infinitives, I always had problems with my colon, and I spent quite a while in a comma.
