I'm still leaning towards believing he is gone, simply because the club hasn't issued a denial. Surely they'd do that if it weren't true. Also a bit surprised that the Mercury seem not to know anything. You'd imagine they have a source or two.

Perhaps the denial has been given in the form of this 'source' so as not to have to give Pearson the dreaded vote of confidence.
