Sky Sports (@ 9:10pm) have 'Premier League club Leicester City have sacked manager Nigel Pearson, according to Sky sources.'

'Martin O’Neill is Sky Bet’s favourite to be the next manager of Leicester following the sacking of Nigel Pearson on Sunday.'

Rob Dorsett @Dorselator · Confusion at #lcfc 2nd source has cast doubt over reported Pearson sacking. Huge change in 2 hours! Awaiting official club statement. #SSNHQ

Who was the manager who "should have kept his trap shut"?

So is this Dorset who has gone in all hot and heavy or are Sky pushing it because nothing interesting happened this weekend and they want to remind people that they have a betting company now?

The BBC were reporting the rumour when I looked about an hour ago but I can't find it there anymore

Well we'll find out tomorrow I guess...

The club needs to issue a statement soon otherwise we just become an even bigger joke. I can understand if there are legal technicalities to be ironed out but if that's the case they should have kept a lid on it in the first place.

I have had ssn on for the last 15 mins and not a mention.

are sky pretending it all never happened?

my guess is either he is in the process of been sacked but it got leaked too early.
or he got close to been sacked but the owners back tracked.

sky seemed way too confident as they had analysis from various people and even put on sky bet for next manager, suggesting the source is usually reliable.

My personal thoughts are pearson is out his depth at this level, if we keep him for next season we have to sack him after promotion still (if promoted, I dont think we will bounce back up tho).

looks like they forgot about this story :) http://www1.skysports.com/football/...tin-oneill-favourite-to-succeed-nigel-pearson
