He did. It was inexcusable, but fecking funny at the same time. I like Pearson, but he seemed a bit out of depth at this level. Maybe needed time to adjust. Either way this should have been done earlier when we might have been able to get Pulis in. For god sake, pay Martin what he wants, we don't want to wind up with Redknapp all of a sudden making a miraculous recovery from his knee op...

They would, because Sky have reported it. It doesn't mean 'pretty much everywhere' has their own source of information.

But if it wasn't true there'd have been a denial by now.

You'd also think there would be an official statement from the club not far off 2 hours after Sky reported it.

I would definitely think a denial would have been made by now, maybe the delay could be that the owners are planning to announce the replacement or temporary structure at same time.

Aren't Sky owned by the same outfit that own "Fox News?" The same ones who reported about Birmingham being a closed city the religious police in London and the "no-go zones" in Paris........:icon_razz

He's left to join the Stranglers on tour

Who the feck will take this job, in our position, at this point of the season ?

The desperate and the dogshit and the dregs

Feckin' Paul Ince is about as good as you're gonna get

What an absolute pile of steaming shit

Spot on Homer, feckin madness to sack a manager at this time of the season. Who wants to take on a squad who are loyal to Pearson. This is similar to Norwich last year.

The owners have a very tricky decision to make regarding the next managerial appointment/structure. NP was possibly the best man to get us promoted next season. Surely not many takers with remit of keeping us up. Only sensible solution would be either Philips or Cambo to see the season out then regroup

According to SSN, the club will be issuing a statement later this evening.

Don't understand why everyone is harping on about the timing. We aren't going to stay up now so what difference does it make. Much better to clear the decks and get ready for life in the Championship once more.

At the very least this season we have yet to be whacked for a cricket score. By instantly killing player morale, we are in for some total hidings now starting Tuesday night.
