I think Plymouth might just be playing a bit of a game to get some additional money out of us, plus if he is one of their better players then they will be trying to appease there fans by making an attempt to keep him.

Plymouth have signed Rufus Brevett this summer, so it is likely Gilbert could be allowed to move for the right price. IMO we will sign him, but I think he may well have to submit a transfer request, also he only has 12 months to run on his contract so Plymouth will have to be careful.

I have to agree with you yet again. Also i believe the Mercury report was purposely leaked by contacts at the club in an ateempt to kick-start a deal which had been stalling. If the player wants to leave and the price is right then he'll join us. Otherwise he'll leave for nothing at the end of the season.

Looks like a move to unsettle the player, it may or may not work. If it doesnt work both the club and the mercury will look like muppets.

At least it is one example of the Club and the Mercury working together in our best interests (getting a decent left back in before the start of the season).

Other clubs play these games so I don't see why the Foxes can't.
