A ripping time at Joey's expense!

Leicester City's Joey Gudjonsson will never forget his farewell appearance at the Walkers Stadium last Saturday.

No, not the 1-0 win over Plymouth but the Player of the Year awards he received afterwards from the Supporters Club.

As a "tribute" to his worthy win, his team-mates decided to rip his clothes and so he had to collect the trophy dressed in tatters, the smart collar and tie having been consigned to the dustbin and his suit in pieces.

Mind you, one colleague was heard to remark: "That's a lot smarter than he usually looks!"

Next Tuesday sees the main club awards and Joey is in pole position again so might prefer a suit of armour.

No good, Joey, they will find a way.
