It's the players who don't quite live up to what I think they should be for me, especially when they don't seem to be able to learn from previous mistakes. So I never had my head done in by the obviously useless donkeys we had like Ade Akinbiyi, Lee Marshall, or Trevor Benjamin, bless their collective cotton socks. It's more Gareth Williams, and Simon Morgan for me - although the managers who persisted in picking players in that first category got right on my wick.

Ade was shit but i always felt for him.
The biggest problem Ade had was he did so much well (getting into position, shrugging defenders off) that his inability to kick a ball into the net was really obvious. If he failed to make space or create opportunities like many other duds we've had in recent and the old days he could have used the excuse of getting used to the pace of the league or such bollocks.

Yeah, it was hard to have much hatred for Ade. Or Trev.

There was a highlights thing of ade's misses. I think in 1 match against Liverpool he could've scored 5 or 6 if he just kicked the ball in a straight line along the ground.

That was the first season my dad starting taking me to Filbo and I have a very powerful memory of the a racist gammon **** in front of us in the double decker.

‘Akinbiyi yer ****in black bastard!’ Bellowed dozens of times a game.

That was one bloke, I dread to think what it was like back in the 80’s.

Rich used to be a Leicester fan back in the day then.

I know he was only a short term loanee, but watching Jason Jowett turn 360 degrees looking for the ball in his vicinity has stuck in my head.

Nathan Blake was the most toothless striker I'd seen play for us till we signed Elvis Hammond.
