Well - looks like I wasn't the only one with the idea that we should pay them up and throw them out <whistles> here

Fair comments. Why retain 3 years of failure on the books? Some of the Levein lot are in their last year aren't they? Paying up will be easier at this time than having them hanging around.

I do like a lot of what Holloway says, and I agree with most of it.

I need to see some sort of evdence though before he convinces me. We can all talk a good management system if we want to.

Again, fingers crossed, at least his brain appears to know what to do and which direction to go.

We should - This is our football club, not MM's, not AB's and quite frankly the greed of the board of directors starting wth the flotation to MM's approach has sullied and tarnished the club and it continues to do so. The Mockery reads like they are part of the conspiracy we need honesty - that is we are poor - players need to work harder, the club needs to work harder, the mockery needs to appear to be indepedent - BA's review of the West Brom game was laughable - if WBA had won 5 -0 I think we would have been lucky it was not ten, close my arse Bill:bang:

The greed of the directors, do you mean shareholders..... dont think accepting 10p on the £1 from Milan was greedy was it :018:

Anderson has been like it for years, except having appeared to grow teeth & throw a wobbly at the previous owners, but we all know that was because he wanted to be so up MM's arse.... and now he has reverted to type

it would be good to ship the dead wood out, where he stops is going to be the difficult choice.

there is something wrotten within this club Melts I reckon

I agree there seams to something wrong, the club has changed ownership, managers, and gone through a few squads. so what is the only thing left.

The grounds man, tea lady, or is it us, the fans. Are we to critical, we certainly are at the matches and on the internet sites.

At the end of the day, is just another platitude.
Is there light at the end of the tunnel or is the grass just greener on the other side?

Not read the other thread to see if your question of 'attitudes towards managers has been answered', but your post about Ollie goes someway to explaining it for me.

Ollie has a plan that will hopefully reduce the current problems in the short term, but lay foundations for a better team long term not only in playing ability but attitude too.
LCFC has been a rotting carcase so anything good is soon turned bad and the sooner this is cleared out the better. Time will tell if Ollie can do this.

Megson would have had the same plan no doubt, but the way he goes about it meant eight in defense and hope we can nick a goal (which is fine if you have Anelka up front) and from past history this is his style of play regardless. With this in mind I just feel city fans wanted instant results if it was negative football for the next 2-3 years, in Ollie I think there is hope that not only can he turn the tide points wise, but actually give us something to entertain at the same time. :102:

There is nothing wrong within the club or the ground or the crowd. The problem lies with the managers over the past few years. They used to talk about the curse of Clough. Brian Clough would buy players of ability whom had been underperforming. He would then turn them into Champions League winners. The curse of Clough was that when someone else bought them they would underperform again. (Roy Keane was the exception going from one great manager to another). Jimmy Bloomfield brought in able players who performed well. Martin O'Neill did the same. The problem is that recent Leicester managers have either bought badly or have been weak characters or both. The only hope is that given time Ollie will prove to be one of the few good Leicester managers.

Proof positive of the statements at the time when Megson was appointed. Some condemned it immediately, whereas some said 'I will judge him after ten games when I see what he is trying to do'.

If we get a manager to last ten games, we can judge them properly.

Same goes with Holloway. He can say what he likes, but how about getting on and doing it? I like his public persona, he seems genuine and at times has been known to be 'funny' and also a straight talker. But in turn I thought Rob Kelly was a 'nice guy', however I did not want him running Leicester City after what his tenure produced.

We all have opinions on who we want as manager (I, for example, am happy that we didn't appoint Reid or Roeder) but if either of those two had been appointed I would have given them the same time to produce results before drawing conclusions on their ability.
