Comes to something when we have to celebrate a Abandonment;)

It wasn't so much celebrating the abandonment - more enjoying the howls of disgust from the home fans - naaaaah!!!!

Seriously, there was no way that the game could ever have gone on. We were far from out of it and they wouldn't have got the goal if the conditions were OK.

Wipe it all off and start all over again.

It does mean of course that we now have two players suspended for the Southampton game - Gudjonsson can not count tonight's match! :frown:

I thought it was Maybury?

You didn't say 'home or away' - I didn't say 'Matbury'

will you be taking up the offer of the fox travel boc? if so will they reimburse you for getting to the walkers or is that asking a bit too much :icon_lol:

It'll be cheaper for me to get to Leicester than to Plymouth, so I might make my Fox Travel debut.

ive only used the fox travel once and that was to plymouth last season with a 6am start :icon_sad: might be using it again for our last game at southampton have to see how things pan out first :icon_lol:

Again according to the RL commentary Boc we sounded awful,I do stress according to RL commentators (who seemed to have turned into Micheal Fish and Ian MaCaskill for the evening)

I was at a mid week game against Newcastle in the mid 80's when it started snowing. The thought of going that sort of distance for a game to be abondoned is a nightmare. In my case the snow eased off and we went on to win 4-1 !!!!!

And soon after starting the journey back there wasn't a speck of snow to be seen. IIRC it was at the end of March - snow at the end of March - must have been in the days before global warming!!

I wouldn't say we were awful. It was simply that the playing conditions that were impossible. They were playing the ball at us and getting us to make mistakes. We tended to try to play too much olé-football and the ball either stopped short or skidded on. I'm sure CL would have explained to them gently that they were not to do so in the 2nd half.

Great clearance off the line by MdV. Several good saves by Rab.

We were still in the game - but it could never have continued.

I might try that..... First Class from Phoenix, limo from Heathrow, etc etc. Do you think they'll go for it? :icon_razz

Rain to the rescue!

I just checked the rules - you're out of luck Bbd.

There's only two things that count from an abandoned match - bookings and the starter of the match thread on TalkingBalls.

From the OS:

Important Information For Foxes Fans

Leicester City supporters who made the long trip to Home Park for Tuesday evening's abandoned Championship clash against Plymouth Argyle will be able to watch the rearranged match free of charge.

Foxes fans who braved the elements are advised to keep hold of their match ticket stubs and exchange them for new ones at the City Ticket Office at the Walkers Stadium in due course.

Also, any supporter who travelled to the match via Fox Travel will be handed a refund while any fan who made the trip independently will be able to claim a seat on a Fox Travel coach for the rearranged match free of charge on production of a match ticket

A rearranged date for the fixture will be confirmed on the website, in the official matchday programme and in the local media as soon as details are made known.

Just to make it clear that the free entry into the rearranged match is a gesture by Plymouth - and the free travel is courtesy of LCFC.

The rearranged match will no doubt take place on the Saturday which is put aside for the 4th round of the FA Cup ;)
