Yes - I've done it with my parents' concession STs so I can sit with my brother.

They tried to charge me £10. I pointed out I could get a totally new ticket using their ST for only £6 using the Mercury offer. Having consulted someone at the back they decided to only charge me £6 !

They told me the standard 'upgrade' was £15! I too mentioned the mockery offer and was told they would sell me an adult ticket for £6 plus mockery coupons. Didn't have coupons so they sold me an adult ticket for £7.08 which included cost of buying three mockerys!

Still got a valid junior ST though so it wasn't an 'upgrade' at all.
