relegation form

We had the same this time last year and we escaped then.

Setting ourselves up nicely for an exciting finish to what would otherwise be a mid-table mediocrity of a season.

My dogs had his balls operated on yesterday.

Anyone else reckon City could do with something similar?
I think City had their balls removed some while back. I do hope we can get a bollock transplant because at this stage we really need some balls....

That might be about to change. We need to WIN at Hull on Saturday - otherwise we will have less points than in any of the previous three seasons! Even the 2003/04 Premier League team got a draw in Match 22.

Even if we accept that optimists are born, I fail to see how anyone could be look at this and feel comfortable going forward. :icon_conf

Last season at this stage everyone on here was slitting their wrists and accepting relegation ..... now if we win two games in January some people will think we can reach the play-offs. Thats football for you!

Last season we had no money to buy ourselves out of trouble... people are praying we get it right and the newbies will pull us through.

It really is shocking, MM has much to answer for with this summers antics.

Couldn't give a toss about previous seasons results. They have no direct bearing on this seasons outcome.
I have more positive feelings under the present manager than I have done for a good few seasons.
Call it misguided loyalty, or blind optimism, I don't care, only time will tell...

i like Holloway, he's being given money and for some reason i feel opimistic

waiting for the inevitable LCFC kick to the happy sacks...

Yes - I would go with you being blindly optimistic.

Holloway seems like the most engaging manager we have had for many a year. Impossible to dislike in my opinion and I think he genuinely cares.

Unfortunately he has inherited a right load of old rubbish and in contrast to your blind optimism, I am a confirmed pessimistic old cynic.

In my book, January is a rotten time to be recruiting decent players to 'save' our season - especially for a club struggling at the wrong end of a crap division and smelling of desperation and with an owner who has already been taken to the cleaners by agents and other clubs only last summer. In our position all we tend to get in January is other people's mid season cast offs.

The "old rubbish" themselves will need to make a serious effort too if we are going to achieve safety - because I don't believe that it will be possible to bring in that many better players. The danger for me is that once again we have a new influx who are given inflated build ups - only for nothing much to change.
