In my book, January is a rotten time to be recruiting decent players to 'save' our season - especially for a club struggling at the wrong end of a crap division and smelling of desperation and with an owner who has already been taken to the cleaners by agents and other clubs only last summer. In our position all we tend to get in January is other people's mid season cast offs.

Mebbe so, but I reckon bringing in Fryatt really helped turn things around a couple of seasons ago.

Yes it did.

I do understand that if we can find a couple of important players then it will be a good move.

I just have my doubts about bringing a whole raft of players who may not prove to make much difference. I suppose I've reached the point where I begin to sense that for whatever reason(s) incoming players just don't seem to play to their potential at Leicester.

I have said this on another forum. I am convinced if Arthur Rowley, Lineker, Frank W, Lenny Glover, Weller and others came to the Club now (assuming they were in their prime) they would have nothing like the impact they had. :icon_sad:

There's a much more positive feeling about after this single winning game - I share in it. But here's the reminder that we are still in a worse position than we were in two of the last three seasons - and that any talk of the play-offs is ridiculous whilst we are still once again battling against relegation.

we may be in a worse position at the moment compared to last year but I'd venture to say we now have a far better looking squad than this time last year. Hopefully we'll start to rack up a few wins on the trot now. :102:

Thanks very much for providing this info'. I find it intriguing but am much too lazy to produce it for myself. You're a gent!

So to conclude: We shouldn't have been so hasty in sacking MA1 and we should have kept Joey? :icon_wink

Its getting better :icon_wink

We are third out of our last 4 seasons. 4th to 3rd is better but the position and points total is hardly 'dancing on the ceiling' stuff!

I am happy that there is progress but will be a lot happier when we are 1st out of our last 4 seasons!

Another thread hijacked by stats, will it never end? :102::icon_bigg

Looking at that reminds me of an appraisal interview I had many years ago. My manager said " I've givin you C for everything, apart from one A"

"What was the A for?"

"consistency"
