Can you tell me EXACTLY what you did, and the full text of the message you received. Just pasting a url into a post isn't embedding, so you must have been doing something else.

I clicked on the media tab and it asked for the media url which when I tried to put in got the message I mentioned
What did you try to put in the media url box?
When you click on the media icon, it says this: "You may embed media from the following sites: Dailymotion Facebook Liveleak Metacafe Vimeo YouTube"
If you put a url in from a site that isn't one of those listed, it's not going to work.
If you were trying to use the embed code from Vine, that won't work. They only provide html, which you've never been allowed to insert into a post, it's a security risk.

Not using Tapatalk but this is a new phone as only had it 3 weeks ago it's a Samsung A5 and I used Internet Explorer
That's an Android phone isn't it? I wasn't aware you could get Internet Explorer on Android.
Have you tried it using Chrome?
