Going by the comments on the BBC article there are a lot of comments suggesting he has been sacked for refusing to take training today after the ESL announcement.

If that is true, it could be a massive start of things to come.
100% untrue story from a known faker, no idea why people have swallowed it.

Also think this is a distraction move too to try and get people talking about something else other than the ESL.
Yep, I can see that intepretation.

Hardly as surprise about Mourinho though, the guy's a, um, what's not the word on the game? Nah, seriously, he's paranoid/narcissistic, makes everything about him. To the detriment of all others.

Exit: thinks; but which is the bad news that Spurs are trying to bury?

Spurs 'pay for' 6th place. They are currently one place and two points behind this. That isn't sufficient to sack a manager a few days before a cup final and a month from the end of the season.

Mourinho has lost the dressing room (again). That's why he's gone. The players don't want him.

Spurs coming in for Rodgers has to be a major concern.
I wasn't pleased with rodgers' ducking of that question at all - looks as if he's leaving the option open to manage one of the clubs involved instead of distancing himself.

If it's true that Mourinho was sacked for refusing to train after the news, he's a bloomin legend

To be fair the story probably broke while he was doing his pre match stuff at Wembley. We as fans can have a snap, visceral reaction to this shit, pundits can too but it’s still the industry he earns a living from at the end of the day.

Plus it’s Brenda we’re talking about. He’s probably immediately imagined a big Super League billboard with him doing his most serious pout on it.

Just listening to the Top Flight Time Machine podcast. Andy Dawson says Spurs being involved in this is like a scene in a family film where a dog sneaks onto a space ship just before it takes off. :042:

It wouldn't surprise me if Kane is out for the rest of the season and they realise they have no hope now, so get rid while they can. It becomes harder if they accidentally win the cup.

Wait, hasn't Hansi Flick just announced he's leaving Bayern? Perhaps Spurs will go for him.

Then maybe Tim Sherwood to plug the gap :005::005:
