Well the 1st pre season knock around is coming up. New manager, new players , new ideas and the usual pre season optimism. It looks like the side that starts the season will be almost unidentifiable to the team that finished last season
Early days of course, but on the strength of whats happened since MA appointment and this also being MM first full season in charge, how optimistic are you ?

That just about wraps it up. Shall I close this thread? :102:

There had to be a big clear out - although this is far from complete.

There had to be lots of new signings just to have the numbers.

But a team made up of nrwcomers is not the usual basis for great initial success - particularly as a number of them look like cast offs.

I'm always pessimistic, this season a little less than others.
I feel like that too swedey.
No doubt we'll now go on a 46 game losing streak....

Neilsen
Chambers
N'Gotty
Hellings
Kishishev
Hayes
Kaebi
Newton
Sappleton
Cort

Either left the club or told they are no longer wanted

Douglas
Kenton
McCarthy
Johannson
Tiatto
Johnson
Cadamarteri
Hughes
Hammond
De Vries

we all know that if we had continued with the players on the second list we would without doubt struggle around the lower reaches of the championship.

only time will tell if those on the first list will perform any better and having not seen at least half of them play in a competative match it is to early to say what the season holds, but if you cast your mind back 12 months to the 4 signings we made for last season at least there is a more positive air about the club

I'm going for a top six finish..... I think we will be in the top 10 all season and make it into the playoffs in fifth or sixth place......

I will go mid table, i have not got a clue how these signings are going to blend together as a team.
I do hope i am incorrect and they gell as one of the most entertaining teams for a long time.

I reckon there will be two or three teams that fight it out for the top two spots followed by about 10 teams that could make the playoffs. I think we will be one of the 10 teams. Obviously I want us to go up but I think I would be happy if we had a season where we had something to cheer for, even if it means narrowly missing out.
