Just to be clear about this, even though he was injured when he arrived it took Vassell less than 2½ months to play as many games as Morris did in the 2½ years of his contract.

Correct. In fact, if you remember Morris only started (I think) two games as a Leicester player, Vassell probably managed more minutes in his first month.

I've just looked up the stats. Interestingly it took Morris a mere nine months to make his debut. He played 244 minutes of football in a frantic 8-week spell, then didn't play again before he left seven months later. Vassell, by contrast, passed the 244-minute mark at Bristol City - exactly a month after he signed. So that wasn't a bad guess, was it?
