Personally, I'd like to see him as an attacking midfielder, take the pressure off him to score goals. He has pace, he can hold the ball up, he's happy out wide and causes defenders problems.

He is crap

His 'specialist' position is up front and he cant even do that (as quoted, only 12 career goals)

What would moving him into midfield do as he hasn't got enough quality, no first touch, slow with the ball...I could go on

he tried his best to **** it up yesterday, all he had to do was square the ball but instead chose to put a shite punt wide of the post. i could have strangled the twat, and considering our situation i can't believe he was so ****in selfish. if he would stop shooting from 30 yards (which we have all established he cant do) i would be even less riled at him at the moment

if you watched 'match of the day' on saturday night, you will have noticed several players made mistakes. thats because they are human. we don't always take the right option in life. to criticise a player who has been by far and away one of our best this season just baffles me. if we hadn't of had Humes 12 goals this season, Preston would have meant nothing because we'd already be planning for league one!

I'm not saying that Hume is a great player but I'm saying he has been one of the better ones this season. Theres plenty of tosh around him in the squad, namely maybury, hughes, hammond, johnson, stearman, fryatt and more. These have all had poor seasons.

does that mean hume is good enough for a side who one day will aim for promotion? i don't think he is. i just think given our circumstances it was just ****ing ridiculous that he took that option, and had a player who's name is harder to shout at a game had done the same people would be slating him

no he probably isn't good enough but the fact is, he is one of the best out of a bad bunch and without him we'd have been stuffed.

lOGAN 6 - nothing wrong but not inspiring - i dont think he will be No1 next season
STEARMAN7 - played ok , hope hes part of the new era
KISNARBO 8 - solid
McAuley 8 - only slightly dodgy period when he went off
Nils 7 - priceless goal , but new left back will be a priority yet again
Newton 7 - played well and looked like hes played for us years eg threw his shirt to the crowd at the end.
Hughes 6 - ok but no chance next season
Weso 9 - everywhere, will be awesome next sason when playing with a bit of quality.
Mattock8 -playing out of position but a definate part of our future
Hume 7 - ran is balls off as usual but his place will be under threat
Fryatt6 - not his best game but he will score goals when given chances, he must stay

Horse 6 - little impact
Danny 6 - little impact

I think the number of goals that hume has scored in the present team is a good effort. lets be fair, the midfield have hardly beenn creating many chances for him.

Almost a quality free kick from him though. ;)

Our top scorer with 12 goals. Fact.

1. Why wasn't MDV's goal tally looked on with the same interest. The number of goals he scored in the number of games played was a better return

2. A free kick was bound to come good sooner or later, and hitting the post is still a miss, otherwise David Connelly would have been credited with scoring 100 the other season

3. Might be the top scorer, but goals to game ratio is not good.
