So you don't blame the players at all. Interesting.

Despite missing tons of chances today. Schmeichel being a bottle merchant on the second.

You can debate all day about the qualities of others respective squads but we are in the bottom three of them. We have very little top flight nous. QPR signed two Chilean internationals and a Dutch international who've played at the top level of football. Palace and West Brom have the nous we don't. West Brom have Lescott for example.

Youve probably missed the team who'd have in the bottom three and that's Sunderland.

Crisis time I'm afraid.

Unless I am incorrect 9 out of 10 teams who are bottom at Christmas fail to stay up.

If we are still bottom three in four weeks time and with nearly 50% of the season behind us, it is time to change the manager in my opinion.

I'm no great fan of Pea son, never have been. We're at the point now where
its clear we're not good enough and today and Bumley (and our league position) suggests we're going backwards. But I can't help but hope his recent bollocks he's said in interviews is a way of keeping heads up. We're not good enough, we all know it and he probably does too but what good is him coming out and saying "we're absolute shite" it may be the truth but I am starting to hope it's not his fault.

So it's time to employ a 'specialist' in avoiding relegation? That worked out well last time... step up, Mr. Dave Bassett!

Always felt that we were substantially lacking in quality - lack of ambition/ investment which was double locked with an unrealistic wage structure cap which was bound to deter quality players in a demand led market.

I too found it annoying that he (Pearson) has repeatedly stated that we were good enough when we are obviously not.

However, I don't think Pearson is primarily to blame. As you say it is understandable that he has wanted to talk up Championship players.

Where do we go from here? Don't know, but suspect that it's back where we came from.

De Laet is clearly out of his depth but he's being set up to fail. I don't think his errors are the result of him not trying hard enough, he's just not a good enough right back for this league. This isn't a retrospective comment either as I thought that he was very average at Championship level. His forward runs made people think he was something he isn't. It's not like we didn't know that Nugent wasn't good enough either. He's been here before and he's no better now than then. You must question the judgement of a manager that cannot see this?

Moore hasn't kicked on but nobody can question his desire. Ditto a few others who are either out of their depth or aren't grafting like they did last season. A few players are doing pretty well, Morgan is largely excellent for example. Knockaert is the only one I've seen this season that has been playing for himself rather than the team.

We have enough quality, with a couple of additions in January, to be fine in lower mid-table.

The reason for the issues we have are:

1. Our manager is tactically inept against decent quality opposition managers.
2. Our recruitment in the summer was largely ineffective.
3. We've rewarded the management team and loads of unproven players with big fat contracts dramatically reducing their motivation that was so key last season.
4. We've just gone from being about worst team at set pieces in the Championship to easily the worst team at them in the Premier League history.

I understand why we did the third point but it was foolish (four fecking years for most) if we aspire to stay in this league. The second point is a failure of the recruitment policy that has usually got a better than 50% success rate. But the main things are the first and final points and these can only improve if NP significantly alters the coaching set up or goes himself. I don't think there is a hope that he'll change the staff so that leaves him as the obstacle to progress.

The longer we go with him in charge, the less chance we've got of a) getting Pulis and b) giving him time to sort it out. That's why it has to be soon or not at all. No team that was bottom at the end of November has ever finished higher than 17th, except one:

If you read and understand this article, you have to realise that we cannot wait around much longer. January 1st is too late. Xmas is probably too late. It's the next fortnight or we're accepting relegation.

we are starting to fall behind the required average of a point/game to give us a fighting chance of staying up. Im always optomistic but im struggling to find any positives.Maybe the fact that as bad a run as we are in we are only 1 point off safety

I thought we actually played pretty well and deserved at least a draw. I'm glad we went with the same team that played Sunderland.

I thought James was superb in the first half but faltered a little in the second. Albrighton was decent when he came on, and we have finally found someone who can take a corner!

I don't know as I wasn't there, but did Albrighton play out wide and put crosses in? If so, why take Ulloa off when he could have benefited from a bit of service?

Why are half of you 'i don't give a shit' cock snafflers even on here?

**** off then?

Does Pulis wank some of you lot off weekly?

Guaranteed to save us!! why doesn't he have a club then? I'm sure Burnley would love a manager who can guarantee survival, ****ing ridiculous.

He kept his width and put a couple of decent crosses in. As for your second question...only poosten can answer that.

I don't think Leonardo has had the service recently. His first goals came from crosses. Whatever happened to that facet of our play?

Anybody who doesn't give a shit at this moment in time isn't a supporter. 'nuff said.

He hasn't had any service. Playing four central midfielders was one reason. There was also a spell where Pearson had Ulloa playing like a false nine, then shifted him wide...all a bit inexplicable and one of my major concerns about Pearson...the way we have deployed Ulloa in the last few games hasn't made any sense and the lads confidence has suffered as a result.

How much shit do you have to give? Is this in conjunction with travelling home and away or does it stand in isolation? Is the moment finite or undetermined? Can you give said shit in private or does it have to come with Oh My Gawd The Princess Is Dead trappings?

What about the ****ing chains? Can I give a shit and still care about that issue too or is it something I'm going to have to let go? I tell you this for nothing, it'll be frosty in Hell before I stop caring about getting the membership truth from the Trust.

Pearson made some terrible decisions. De laet and mahrez defending for the first goal was shocking! but subbing our best guy in the air (ulloa) for our best crosser (albrighton) and then getting schmichael to continue to hoof it to 2short arse strikers was ridiculous. On top of that set piece defending and attacking has been woeful for a long time and I don't understand why Pearson doesn't get these basics sorted out. The amount of times we don't clear the first defender with a set piece is embarrassing, the 5 year ols kid behind me in the stands at qpr could have crossed better than that last free kick from James. If these basics aren'to sorted we don't have a prayer of staying up. And the writer from the other day is right about mahrez....very little end product. Despite all this we need to get behind the team and Pearson, who has proven he can learn, but he needs results fast..
