Has anybody got any thoughts on spearing? Did he play well?

Wellens was an absolute star in the middle, his tackling was firm and his passing was nearly always on target, he played a lovely through ball for Wag's second goal. Hobbs, Brown and Spearing also stood out.

Apart from Spearing (I didn't think he was any improvement on Oakley) I'd agree with all that.

Anyone watching the game on TV. Fed up on BBC2:icon_evil with the frequent mention that this game could be repeated in Play-off Final:icon_evil and about if they win they set a Club record etc

The Mull of Kintyre never sound worst I forgot Trees sang that and I've heard it twice now:098:

It is extremely dull...

Listened in on RL, must say, most enjoyable commentary for a long time, we won and no feckin Stringer!

Yeah it was great to get proper footy talk NOT what colour boots someone had or reference to something totally irelevant.

Flowers is always a good co-commentator though and knows his stuff and not just about goalkeeping

I thought Spearing did pretty well today. Don't remember him giving the ball away much and made some good passes

Very lucky to go in at half time 2-0 up imo. But we were very unlucky to go in 2-0 down against WBA so these things tend to even themselves out. Waggy was superb today, not just for his cracking second goal but his hold up play too. Howard did well, looked well and truely ****ed by the end though. Also thought Vaughan looked very lively when coming on-hope we can keep him to the end of the season.

And like Ted said (i think it was him anyway) very much like the Sheff Weds game, and tbh 4-0 flatter us a bit, especially on our first half showing, though we played much better in the second.

I imagine the stand the commentators are in will be absolutely flooded with jizz by full time, despite this being the shittest game I've seen in terms of entertainment all year

Drydal? Is he a jizz machine?

It's a funny old game

Totally outplayed and outpassed in the first half - don't know what the possession stats were for the first 45, but it didn't seem we had much of it. Every time we did get it we hoofed it up the pitch and gave it away again. Despite their possession, they never looked like scoring in a month of sundays. Utter shambles up front

In contrast, our finishing was excellent - including Waggy's bizarre goal (about feckin' time we got some luck)

Second half we pissed them

Wellens' best game in a City shirt - simply outstanding in every way. Howard also had a superb match, as did Hobbs, Brown and Spearing (get used to the bench, Oakley). Kingy did well, but played far too deep for my liking. Waggy poor in the first half, but excellent in the second

Don't know what was wrong with Bruno today, but he looked well off the pace - I assume it's fitness after his long lay off

The only downside was Gallagher, who was utter shite from start to finish

All in all a good day at the office

One down, four more to go :038:
