I wanted to compare the prices with the league two play off, which is the closest game to the Conference one, but I couldn't find those prices, so I used the league one play off final prices.

Fairy Nuff. I wanted the Championship ones to make a comparison with our own admmision prices for League games.

Based on the 25% reduction that has been given for concessions, that would require a ticket price of £12 and £6 (concessions). In turn this would require an almost 70% increase in the number of fans attending the game to realise the same total takings. Totally unrealistic IMHO.

Different market. And a reflection of the totally different financial conditions under which Italian football is conducted.

Additionally, your travel costs would outweigh the savings on the match tickets. ;)

Dont you believe it......:icon_wink

They could have sectioned off part of the ground, and had it at a reduced price for home fans. This would have filled the ground more and raised more money too. I believe Stoke did this last season

I can't find any evidence that Stoke did this at last season, but if they did it didn't do much for the gate, there were only 13,000 at the match.

and maybe if it was true, the gate would have been 10,000.

Doubt it. I can't find final figures, but Carlisle had sold over 8,000 tickets with a couple of days to go (and tickets were available on the day), Stevenage sold over 4,000.

Looks like the attendance was much lower than expected as the match was played on Saturday evening.

played saturday evening for the TV. Sad now we have to bend to the TV companies. We will never see all the matches kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon.

Hereford expect to take 12000, not sure about halifax, but a crowd of around 22000 seems possible. :038:

That's odd. City are only expecting about 15,000. Somebody should tell them to order more pies!!

Where did you get your figure from? (And I don't mean that sylph-like shape that you call your body either!)

And BTW do you know that Bonnie on BB? And is it true that her brother is called Clyde? Must be really great to live in Loughbrough at times like these. ;)

OY Webbo!! I notice that you haven't put the game up on vBookie yet for the benefit of those of us who want to double up our stash once again.

Not read this article then obviously!!!

Hereford face Halifax Town in the Conference play-off final on Saturday and the demand for tickets has pressed Turner into service on the sales staff.
"It's just been so busy that everyone is picking up a phone," he told BBC Sport.
"The interest and buzz about the place this has generated is amazing.
"We thought we would have about 8,000 supporters going to the final but now it's looking more like 10-12,000."
On the first day of ticket sales for the final at Leicester City's Walkers Stadium, Hereford sold 4,500 to fans hoping for an end to their team's nine-year exile from the League.
"The supporters have had their disappointments and we had the problems of relegation, although those problems were already there," said Turner. "But we have had a really good hardcore of supporters who have stuck with us.
