So the trust will not answer serious questions? How do you expect anyone (especially the club) to take you seriously?
.
Ah...but there lies the value of the FT.
It can't be taken seriously by Mandaric (which equals the club), but it is a harmless group that can be counted upon for an innocuous quote or two on City related issues by the local media. Put yourself in the position of a Mockery sports writer - wouldn't you welcome a few lines of instant copy everytime there is an issue at The Walkers?
Alternatively, the Trust can spend an evening having very positive discussions with LCFC's new Chief Executive

I hope that the guy doesn't realise that you represent between 2 and 3% of City's support and probably between 1 and 2% of the overall fan base.
Would you rather the club didn't speak to any fans groups?
i would rather they didn't listen to groups whose advice may have been ill advised regarding manager appointments.
Just as one example - when the crowd get on the back of a manager - the board (or in our case the owner) tend sto listen and generally he is soon gone.
as another example when the club is unreasonable about pricing policy then the fan as a customer will soon apply influence in the same way as any business where there is only so much elasticity of demand.
Make your mind up. One minute you're saying they're insignificant, the next you're blaming them for us not appointing Warnock.
( They are significant in terms of numbers and quality of thinking - but they provide an excuse for the owner to do daft things - as in the Warnock situation)
So you think the board were wrong not to sack O'Neill when the fans were getting on his back?
(I was at the Sheffield United game which was when a small minority of 'fans' got at O'Neill - O'Neill who is an excellent manipulator of situations as I guess you would agree - magnified the incident and used it as a stick to beat his critics for ever and ever)
Fans, as a whole, are not the brightest, and if the board listened to some of the more vociferous ones IH would still be in charge - that's assuming the job hadn't gone to Steve Walsh instead.
The FT, whether you like them or not, generally approach things in a more measured and less knee jerk way than the typical fans you think the board/owner should be taking notice of.
( The FT p-ss me off with their pretentiousness, I admit that whatever they say or do that i wouldn't like it. Whatever, they say, I will be opposed to it even before i know what they are saying!)
But by the time fans stop buying tickets it could be too late, don't you think it's better to consult the customers before making a decision, than waiting for the reaction to see if you've got something right?
There have been numerous instances in recent years when the club has done something that fans would have told them was a bad idea, if only they'd consulted someone first.

Yeah, you were the only ones who said that.As one example, 4 years & then again 3 years ago the club planned to remove the club shop discount from the Season Ticket holders package & instead they believed every ST would become a Member as well (paying another £15) to then access club shop discounts - barmy idea, which never saw the light of day because we were consulted & spoke strongly against it & eventually talked them out of it.
