Sorry but I'm not as upbeat as most of you, I saw a team motivated by the fact that we scored two goals out of the blue and gave away the same, I thought we were still slow in midfield, but I like Macauley who I thought had an excellent game winning virtually everything in the air plus his partnership with Paddy can only get better.
Without Hume's shooting abilities I think it was a game we could have lost easily. This lad must stay in and play behind the front men as he is not box goalscorer but has two potentially lethal feet outside that area up to 25 yards.

im sorry but you cannot be more wrong. he has some of the neatest finishing inside the box i have seen at the walkers for a long time. forget your tap ins and 6 yard headers - yes, but neat finishing you cannot fault the lad. remember these goals - crewe at home last season, leeds at home last season, derby at home last season, brighton away last season, hull at home last season and derby away last season. nothing spectacular about these goals but all were neat finishes from inside the area and they hit the back of the net. he rarely misses chances either.

now argue your point.

the most impressive thing for most of the game was the effort most players put in. williams ran about in midfield which i have never seen before, but even when static i feel he is more effective than hughes. elvis up until his miss looked very useful for us, after that he drifted in and out for confidence reasons i assume. still, the look on his face when he missed said it all, it was kinda like "i didn't expect to get the ball".

from where i sit it looked very much like johansson forgot where his man was as he was too busy concerned that the midfield werent chasing runners.......ooops, where did his go!

Unfortunately I cannot get to away games due to a disabled wife, but what I have seen at home I can only comment on and I feel that Hume is a more dangerous player outside of the box because of his unpredictability
than inside, he is unfazed by his shooting, which sometimes gets up peoples nose, who think he is greedy,
but it also shows a player who is,a confidence man who needs goals to keep him going, but is in or can be a match winner outside the 18 yards than inside.

What I have seen of Hume this season I am in agreement with you wr.:038:

As i got in my car after the game i'm sure i heard barber comment on a fan that had said Hume didn't deserve his goals and that every fan was entitled to his opinion. I can't believe anyone at the game would of said that! :O

how could he not deserve those two goals.......did he think they were deflected?

Oh and the beer in the 1884 is ****in shit.
According to lazzer they shit in the barrels :icon_lol: :102:

Why is it that when you go anywhere which is an event the beer is always hit. Summer Sundae 06 some the worst Lager in my life, I could firmly seeing why people were drinking real ale and cocktails plus a nice corner shop was doing S.Miguel for a bargain and Pizza was buy 1 get 1 free.

Their first was deflected. Ever so slightly, i think it may of hit the post if it wasn't.

Hardly any posts on our win today, following a loss we have 3 or 4 threads moaning on about the problems we have got, I'm as guilty (and as justified) as the rest. OK, the underlying issues are still there, but today the one big thing that has been missing all season from our players has returned, Passion

All of our players battled today. From the first whistle challenges were flying in hard and fast, 50/50 balls were met with 100% commitment, mistakes were met with anger and we showed a desire to not collapse. Blood was shed today by more than one player born out of desire not to lose and let the supporters or the club down

I don't know what has happened, or indeed if it will continue, but today my Leicester City returned. Not the best football you'll ever see, but the type I like to see and long to see, unpredictable, exciting, meaningful, whilst still full of purpose, desire, aggression and passion.

The "never say die" attitude of recent history returned today, "You just can't write Leicester City off" was what they used to say, and now they might begin to again.

I'm proud today

Sorry Melts on the razz in London after the game, but you know what it's like there will be loads of posts if we do not do well. Had a quick look at this thread and saw someone say that Mcaully was a weak link. Man of the Match I think and helped out PaddyMc who did not have the best of games.

I'm not excited by the win, and I'm not excited by the performance, it was mediocre to be flattering.

What impressed me was the level of committment, I haven't seen that this year. They showed they could battle as though they were in fear of losing their jobs and any pride they have left.

They showed a platform to build on

Didn't make the game but I'm glad to see that the committment is back. Hopefully this will up their confidence levels which should improve the quality of the performance.
However several times over the past couple of seasons we have seen the sort of performance which we all think will turn the season around only to have our hopes dashed. The exception was QPR away last season when we went on that run which got us out of the shite so I'm hoping for a repeat of that. 2/3 consecutive wins will do wonders for the confidence of the young players.
