Trust press release on ticket prices

http://foxestrust.co.uk/site/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=454&Itemid=2

This will be discussed on the Radio Leicester breakfast show just after 8am Thurs 27th

Talk about stating the fcking obvious, not that anyone at board level will listen, seems that decisions have been made and its just a case of when to make them public.Still if you want to go to one of the give away days it should be easy to get a seat,e lots to choose from.

I'm with you on the subject of season ticket prices but I think a 9-month interest-free administration fee-free payment scheme is more than can reasonably be expected. People taking up such an offer will have the advantage of paying over almost the whole season and still get the reduced price of the season ticket. The whole idea of a season ticket is that the club gets the money up front and gives the fan quite a decent discount. If you want to pay over the whole season, you just can't expect to pay the same price as somebody who pays all their money over before a ball is kicked.

A stunning declaration of the bleeding obvious.

No announcement of what they plan on doing about it.

What is the point of this press release? Where is the purpose? Where is the direction?

so what do you think they should do then DB send the boys round from the Cov stand off to sort them out?

Maybe I'm just being cynical, but I reckon any talk of ticket price rises is just to scare people, and when the prices are revealed and they've only gone up a bit, everyone will be mightily relieved and say it's not that bad, really. Well done LCFC!

It's a bit like the Premier League's plan to play overseas - I fully expect a similar but watered down version of that to be announced and generally greeted with "well, it's not as bad as the last idea, so perhaps we should go with this one..."

No, they should build a space station and shoot laser beams at the ticket office...

:icon_roll

They only got £15,000 for their shares so it'll have to be a barage balloon and a pea shooter.

I think you misunderstand the mood of frustration that abounds. Even if City stay up, not a penny of increase will be in any way welcome. Most people will pay it because they feel they have no alternative, but lots of others will use it as an excuse to gain control over their obsession and decline to renew. The only question is the numbers in each group.

Thats me bang on the nail. Im not sure if i'll renew, if they go up i definatly won't.

Love the fact lots have a go at the FT again...

It's fair comment, the trust has this at the bottom of the press release:

It exists to ensure that the problems which resulted in administration in 2002 do not recur, and to represent the City supporter and supporter interests at the highest levels within the management of the club.

But fails on almost every level to live upto this, they make a few weak comments about the poor financial management of the last 12 months (how much extra debt has Milan loaded the club with in this time) and their representation of fans issues is pathetic and has resulted in a weak press release.

Agreed ,time for the FT to make a good name for them selfs on this one .

I'm there. I'm sure my girlfriend will be able to think of fun things we can do with the money saved. If they put it up by a single pound I'm not renewing.

Unambiguous press release from the FT - well done. Does anyone know who the correct person to email at the club with my "You won't get my £322 next year" threat would be?
