Why would anyone be suprised or upset at a price increase? My council tax increases everyyear and I would say I don't see any improvement in service, in fact certain areas seem to get worse. We don't protest against that. So long as the rise isn't above the general rate of inflation I don't see how people can moan?

My ST price has risen by approximately 25% in two years, I think that's considerably ahead of inflation.

Sadly my council tax doesnt count as a voluntary entertainment cost. The club need to realise that the quality of the entertainment is linked to the amount people are prepared to pay.

TV License? Sky? Broadband? all go up every year, and with the exception of broadband speed the service level all go down, there is less original stuff on the BBC and C4 and Sky just seems to get worse and Broadband contention levels seems to rise so my speed and connectivity suffers.

That's the point isn't it Beighton? We're talking about moaning to the club, saying in effect that if the price rises we're no longer prepared to pay for the product, and hoping that if enough people do the same then there will not be the anticipated price rise. On the day you decide that your TV, Sky and broadband are not worth the money you'll stop bothering - I could do the same with my ST but I'd rather mither the club about it first!

Long before I moved to a medieval town where satellite dishes are banned, I decided that I wasn't getting value from my Sky subscription. It took me a while to actually decide to end it - but I didn't miss it once it was gone. Same happened last year when I packed in my season ticket.

Haven't owned a TV for years. I appreciate the fact that TV owners help pay for the radio programmes I listen to though!
