I wonder whether they'll be a minutes silence before the game?

I think the reaction in the public domain is way over the top.

I think Managers need to stick up for each other. No-one else does and they always pay the price for others failures

why put something up like that which is clearly fake. I know you've wanted the guy gone for a long time but you don't really think that's the translation do you?

Are you a ****ing idiot or what? I shared it because I thought it was hilarious... It's damned obviously fake! Either that or he's been rehired by Roma before he's even had chance to set foot back on terra firma in Italy.

Would it be cynical to think that Mourinho is using this opportunity to avenge what he felt was the harsh treatment of him in 2015 and that he really couldn't care less about Claudio's fortunes?

Spot on. Mourinho lives for being seen to control a situation. It's why he pats opposition managers on the head, whilst shaking hands with the players, like he's posturing "I'm the man."

Claudio has spoken - "yesterday my dream died".

Sad Claudio makes me sad. The goosebumps from last season have gone, replaced by tears. :(

From the BBC:
"The adventure was amazing and will live with me forever. My heartfelt thanks to everybody at the club, everybody who was part of what we achieved, but mostly to the supporters.

"You took me into your hearts from day one and loved me. I love you too."

If he carries on like this I will cry again. Surely there was a more dignified way of releasing Claudio from his duties?
