It's funny, people were worried that us going down as champions would make us a laughing stock. Well now they know how it feels being a laughing stock.

I'm more gutted tonight than after any horrible result I've seen. More than Spurs in the League Cup final, than at Stoke or than at Cardiff, or against Wycombe. To some extent what happens on the pitch, in individual matches, is beyond the control of individuals.

Behaviour like this isn't. It's calculated. I'm ashamed of the club tonight.

Short sighted from the owners.

I thought were decent and believed in respect.

That was why I accepted the Pearson sacking.

They asked CR if he'd stay if we were relegated last year, he agreed.

We're not even relegated yet and they've shat on Claudio.

I want to say it was a pleasure having such a nice man in charge of the team. it made me feel good. Thanks claudio.
I am in the rare position of agreeing with you 100% FIF

Loads of stories about player power being a huge part in this. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

Benetti was our assistant manager?! What's Shakespeares role?

Assistant Manager and First Team Coach Paolo Benetti and First Team Sport Science and Conditioning Coach Andrea Azzalin.

Benetti had a joint role with Shakespeare.
Difficult to manage that kind of thing. Especially when your mate says one thing and Shakey says another.

TBH Shakespeare has come across as a bit of a nothing. Why bother giving him the job till the end of the season? May as well have done the right thing and let CR see out the season as do that. Still at least he'd manage more games than he helped the England team in.

With that reaction or lack of it on the bench last night when we scored I wonder if some of the players had been given the nod that Claudio was on his bike, depending on if imagine if we'd won that they wouldn't have gone ahead.

They didn't look very pleased that we scored did they, only Musa enjoyed it? Bunch of absolute shitcunts.

The obvious difference being that we were expected to get relegated last year. This year, we're into our third year in the division, have spent heavily on high profile players and of course won the league last year, so expectations have justifiably progressed.

Not according to their statement. They were only after survival this year. As poor as our form is we are not in the bottom three and have lots of games left to play.

I doubt this is about results only. I'd be amazed if at least some of this isn't the players telling the owners they want the manager out and wouldn't play for him so long as he was at the club.

If that is the case I'd much rather the owners have told the players to **** off and get on with doing what they're paid untold thousands per week to do.

Exactly

With other teams in that position you often see the whole of the bench up and celebrating

Ours sat on their fat arses looking down their noses at Ranieri celebrating as if he'd just dropped his kecks and shat on the head of a small child

So torn on this.

I said before that i thought he earned the right to relegate us, but then I wavered on it (something to do with being the only club in the top 4 divisions to not score a goal in 2017). I can't help but feel that if we had been relegated with Ranieri in charge we would at least have been able to say we had retained something very special...integrity.

Then I would of course have felt like poo. I still might. I don't see how we stay up.

And respect hasn't.

The owners come across as putting many things before money but I think they've just shown that is a lie. There choice of course, hope they enjoy living with the consequences. I know what glenn hoddle would say.

our owners for the first time have shown a lack of integrity, and I for one am disgusted.

I now expect the players to put some effort in and stay up, as we all know they are well capable of doing. As much as I'd rather us stay up than go down, I'll be more disgusted with them than I am now should they do so.

I expect Pearson to be our next manager. It appears that what our players want, they get. The poor bastards, being led to the pinnacle of their careers entirely against their will.

If it is player power then money talks.

1 manager with 3 years x £1million contract = £3million payoff

5 players with 3 years x £5million contracts = £75million payoff

I hope they do put some effort in and stay up - and then we sell all the ****ers!

Expecting to survive does represent progression over expecting to get relegated.

I think you're right and that player power has a lot to do with it, and that annoys me as well, but realistically sacking a bunch of players never happens, it's always the manager.

I hope Monday's game becomes a massive tribute to Claudio.

I hope the crowd get behind the team (even the underperforming shit eating bastards who have let us down) and tries to inspire us to three points. Anything else is just a distraction. If anyone wants to protest or support our former manager leave it until after the game has finished.
