in other words th trust are going to look to block the deal.

Can't say what our reaction will be until we have the detail. In theory the club's board could reject the offer if they feel it's not right for the club without consulting the shareholders.

When the LCFC board discuss the options our Observer will be present at the meeting, so we will have a clearer picture, however it is highly likely at that stage we will be able to make little of the information public.

Why don't they just get on with it, then, instead of issuing pointless press releases ??

A simple "No comment" to the stories in the Mirror would have done the job

They issued the statement to make it clear there is a range of options, it's not just MM or no investment.

Mandaric Leicester bid
30 October 2006
The Guardian

Milan Mandaric is expected to step up his interest in Leicester City this week, with the former Portsmouth chairman poised to make a pounds 25m offer for the Championship club. He indicated he wanted to take a break from football after he sold his remaining shares in Portsmouth little more than three weeks ago but it is understood he is now ready to return with Leicester. An announcement confirming a bid has been made is likely within the next 48 hours. Mandaric has been linked with Leicester for some time and has described the club as "very interesting" and one he "would not ignore". The club is back on a stable footing after coming out of administration three years ago but has seen little investment since, ending ideas of a quick return to the Premiership. Attendances remain high, fuelling Mandaric's belief that he could repeat the success he enjoyed at Fratton Park.

im foooking buzzing people. ive got the biggest butterflies ever. all this talk of more than one investor battling for my beloved city is a miracle, bigger than the other one that happend on christmas day.

Leicester will be the reason i die young, so many ups and so many downs but fucck me i love it

One of the bigger shareholders, he's a Pukka Pies man.

Why?

He was not seen at the office today and has taken the next three days off. ;) The explanation is "And the reason he's not attending is because he's at the Walkers".
