Yeah, that'd really help them recoup the reported £1,000,000 they paid Real Madrid for the fixture.

I'm sure they're not expecting to recoup the full amount from ticket sales.
They'll probably sell the TV rights to a few countries and use it as a way to raise the profile of the club, so they'll be hoping for long term benefits rather than something they'll get an immediate return from.

I'm sure though that they want to earn something far nearer the fee (whatever it is) than they would if they were to sell tickets for a tenner each.

Any idea if the rumoured 5.15 kick-off is true?

Teams like Leicester City do not play friendlies for free. I remember talking to a member of the Harrow Borough board who was incandescent with rage, having us just heard that we were bringing a team of second-stringers in exchange for "the bloody fortune [we] have paid".

It's all relative, Boc. They do it to us, so we do it to those further down the pecking order.

Doesn't mean that it is the right way to go about things...

Just had a phone call on my mobile from the ticket office to see if I wanted my ticket for the Real Madrid game. Said I was away sadly.

A minute later my house phone rang and the same guy asked for my wife. I surprised him by telling him his own name and explaining that my wife would be away with me!

Wonder how well these tickets are selling?!

Yep just rang me too. Told him I was on holiday to which he replied " so do you still want two" :-)

I've not read through all the posts so apologies if this has been mentioned, but apparently it has cost LCFC a cool £1mill to get Real over to play us as we are the only english side they are playing, but for the money we are guarenteed a 1st team 11. But that's the reason for the ticket prices.

I'm glad they're not selling like hotcakes, I need to buy about 9 tickets next month!

Nope. It's no good. I've read that article 3 times now and I still can't see any mention of a kick off time. :102:

The content of that page has been updated today. Earlier versions definitely quoted 5:15 as kick-off time.

Google's cache of the page from two days ago has no mention of the kick off time.

Are you trying to make some kind of a point? The page has been there for at least 8 days. When 4-4-2 provided the link to it 8 days ago, it included the kick-off time: I read it.
