Agreed, horrible prices.

I thought they'd be mote expensive, maybe in line with the platinum games at season, so I'm happy.

I don't feel able to complain as I will be away that weekend anyway

The travelling Madrid fans will be paying much much more than us Citeh fans. They're gonna be playing for the privilage of witnessing Richie Wellens and Chris Weeeaallleee

If he is still in goal by then Sven will have failed in one of his tasks.

I know they are playing a big team, but its supposed to be a pre-season friendly and I think those prices are a bit steep.

I am quite certain that if it was an in-season non-friendly, e.g. Champions League game, the prices would be at least double what they are!

At those prices, I couldn't give a feck who they are playing, for a friendly, I ain't going

£30 for a meaningless friendly against a reserve side with a couple of name players?

****ing ridiculous.

Looks like the number of games I'll see next season will be even less than this one.

I was under the impression they'd be playing a strong team (by their standards not ours) due to the fee?

Friendly or not I hope to see some of the best footballers in the world. Two of the games I remember most fondly are friendlies - Old England v Old Rest Of The World at Filbert Street and Brazil v Jamaica at The Walkers. It was a privilege to see Grosics, Puskas, Rivaldo and Roberto Carlos play. It was also great to see players like Kluivert and Ronaldhino when Barcelona played Leicester here.

And this time you can see Nuri and Mesut! :038::038::038:

Never happy, maybe we should have a glamour friendly against Chesterfield and charge 5 quid.

Come on Leicester fans, look at the big picture FFS.

Give yourselves and your kids the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of saying you were at a Leicester v Real Madrid game. From all the moans on here, sounds like you'd rather watch Leicester v Kettering so you can save a few quid on the ticket price.

I took my 8 year-old son to see an LA Galaxy, MLS game earlier this year and to see his face & of those around us watching the legend of David Beckham spraying passes around, was worth every penny.

Something to tell his kids about 20 years from now.

Go and see a load of Kaka, dont worry about the 25 quid a ticket, and you'll be passing on a legacy!

Kaka can't even get into the Madrid first team these days.

And said this on the Scholes thread, but Beckham has become underrated in recent years. Seems people are far too happy to say he's only famous for his publicity stunts and image etc. blah blah blah, but he was an incredible footballer in his prime. For an English player especially to have such technique is very rare.

I don't think he has become under-rated at all tbh. I'd go the opposite way and say I think he's actually wasted the talent he has by choosing money over the chance to keep winning silverware.
I don't much like Alex Ferguson, but he knows when it's the right time to get rid of a player.

Tis a shame, cos the lad really could've had a far better career for himself- if the first half was owt to go by. IMO he's wasted it. Yer, he's got more money than he knows what to do with, he's idolised the world over but I reckon when he looks back in 10 years time he will know in his heart he let the 'Beckham brand' control him.

Again, this is the attitude I think underrates him. It was only a couple of years ago when he was at Milan people were saying what a great player he is again, but I don't think he ever lost that. I don't agree with this idea that since he left ManUtd he's become crap, it's just that the English media has some kind of complex where they think English football is automatically superior to any other football and because he's playing in the US his career has somehow spun out of control, when I don't think it ever had. He played well at Madrid as well in a team which didn't really do itself justice considering its wealth of talent it had (arguably the greatest team ever, player for player, but really achieved little).

Fantastic player imo, a rare breed of English players with technique as good as anyone in the world at his peak.
