8 players are out of contract at the end of the season that is probably 6 million a year in wages, we also have another 8 entering their final year at the start of next season. Hopefully the board have instructed the head of recruitment with two plans, one for the premiere league and one for the championship.I don't argue that we're in a tricky financial position - but I don't think we'd be as ****ed as you say.
Because like you say, everyone will be for sale. Even the players we don't want to sell.
We'd sell Maddison for 30-40m still. That alone covers a lot of it.
Barnes, Nacho, Castagne, Ndidi, maybe also Ricardo and Daka all are still saleable assets. For that collection, you'd be looking at at least £50m in and big wages off the bill.
So while I agree it's not going to be pretty, and that everyone will be available, I think we can still sell our way out of the worst of the financial situation so we don't end up with only what's left of the academy and then any old freebies we can get. At least for a season...
And I bet they'll be the first to sing the 'just like Forest, you live in the past' song to opposition fans.
Well we still sing about a bang average striker from about 25 years ago for ****s sake!.....
Far too many cretins support us I'm afraid.
Roberts is the one, although he could smash a burger at TJs on Saturday night before going home with the girls he pulled at Crystals.Heskey? Cottee? Marshall?

We must win the next 4 games to avoid leaving it to the last game of the season. Leeds, Forest and Everton have the harder run ins, for me, 33 points will probably just scrape it meaning Bournemouth have done enough to survive.View attachment 17634
We still have one of the easier run ins.
Plenty of 6-pointers to play as well, of which we have both the most and are the only ones with two home games against relegation rivals:
LEE v LEI
LEI v EVE
LEI v WHU
NFO v SOU
WHU v LEE
I think you are right. And even if we achieve a result from that game, the odds feel quite stacked against us.Tbh, I can't see us beating Wolves. Easy run-in or no, I just can't see us getting the points we'll need to stay up. The Leeds match will, for me, show what we're made of under this new regime.
