Whatever people thought about the competition that was proper European football and a proper “European night”. Atmosphere was incredible from the TV and the last ten minutes were just the worst minutes of football to watch since the end of the cup final.

Yep. Champions league qualification is all that matters, chief. When i speak to my Newcastle supporting friends they're in no way jealous of our trophies because they got in the champions league more than we did.....that's sarcasm just incase anyone thinks the people i know are the mentalists you get on talksport n the like.

Who remember ‘Cuppy’? Or ‘Wembley Singles/Doubles’ as it was also known. You’d play that until it was nearly dark then you’d run home to watch Robot Wars.

We beat Leeds the other day and the commentators were banging on about the Leeds manager wearing pants. The game's gone

Roma have conceded at home so it's 1-1 with Vitesse. The other game is tight too.
 
I remember 1958 and a game of street football. We were Sweden against Brazil and we won 3 1. What ever happened to street football. Answer, there were no cars on the street in 1958
 
Once (around 1965) played a whole First Division Season with my brother using subbuteo, which LCFC won in a canter, natch. Even more remarkable is that the twenty two teams were comprised of eleven playing in blue shirts and eleven in red. Seem to remember Gillingham, Halifax Town and Chesterfield doing particularly well, too.
