Picked up what I thought was a Rose but turned out to be a "White Zinfrandel" (or something that sounds like that. Never heard of this before.

More than a hint of Strawberries and water melon. was bloody nice.

Blossoms Hill was the name on the bottle.

Zinfandel... they're ok, can be a bit sweet though.

The Trollinger, Dornfelder and Lemberger I get here in Ingelfingen are great but they don't export, small local vineyards haven't got the capacity.

Morrisons currently have Lagunilla Rioja Reserva on offer. Down from £12 a bottle to £5. Had a bottle with some roast lamb last weekend and it was spot on. I'm a big fan of Rioja anyway and this is an extremely good one.

Continuing the boxing theme it has to be Spar.

The search continues tonight with a wine I have had earlier versions of and loved.

This is the 2010 La Tour de Marrenon 13.5% Grenache Syrah from Tesco (£4.50).

Nice and warm, subtle fruits with a bit of vanilla.
I have, however, been eating it with day old Bombay Mix so just a slight word of caution.
