What's the point in signing him, you know Morgan is going to be first-choice every damn game.

If only we ever played a formation that required more than one centre back (or even defender).

My point is that it should be Huth and anyone else who isn't Morgan playing at centre-half. I actually think this will be a very good signing.

I would be very surprised if Morgan and Was could go the rest of the season without injury or suspension. I sense that Pearson is looking for older, more experienced players to produce results and that is why Moore may be left out for someone like Huth.

It is probably also why Schwarzer started at Old Trafford over Hamer, who has done all right in the last few games.

Morgan actually started the season well and I thought he was adjusting to the higher league. But his performances over the last few months have usually been bloody awful. His ability to be in the wrong place/position is turning into an art form.

I agree that NP will never drop him though. Even though Wasyl is clearly the better defender, we all know he'll be dropped for Huth.

Real life travesty if Wasil is dropped.

Here is an early morning update from Ben Ransom, who is at Stoke this morning - he has this line on Emmanuel Adebayor.

"Rumours in this part of the world that concern Emmanuel Adebayor. His relationship with Mark Hughes goes back to 2009; Hughes brought him to City for £25m.
In terms of players leaving, I'm told Robert Huth's switch to Leicester is almost done."

I reckon Sky will try and drag this one out and it will come through with seconds to spare, kinda like on the Top Gear races where they all supposedly finish about the same time.

You're not suggesting that there is a possibility of a gap of more than 15 seconds opening up over a 250 mile land race?

Well, you've shattered the illusion there.
