What he says is correct. Our net spend under him is negligible.

Until last season, we'd had the 7th biggest budget for two 5th places and an 8th. Plus the FA Cup. That's a solid return.

The massive expansion of wages together with his extraordinary salary are my issues. He's overseen a collapse in our recruitment and medical expertise by insisting on his own (incompetent) appointments.

As I've said before, he's a flawed manager which is why he's here and not at the sort of club he thinks he should be at.

His determination to seek out praise and financial reward for what he has achieved here whilst ignoring or taking no responsibility for his errors of judgement make him very difficult to like.

Net spend on its own is a bit of a bollocks measure anyway. Are we including % of profit passed on to previous clubs (rarely see these included) or amounts still owed/written off for ex players we've taken a hit on to shift. Using random figures I've seen for Vestergaard and Maguire transfers....Maguire would have needed to be on about £300k a week here or someshit for us to pretend replacing him with 5 or 6 Vestergaards would be net spend 0.

How much have we spent since he's been here?

Most of it will have been spent on some absolute shit. Why isn't he highlighting this?

Really is a horrible little ****, isn't he?
I've supported Leicester City for many a year, and I can't recall a manager that has been disliked for so long by the fans.
Normally there's a few months of disgruntlement and hatred , then he's shown the door, but with BR its gone on for a couple of years, maybe he was never even accepted by some.

Tielemans was £32m according to Tanner and Percy.

The Perez fee was never revealed but I believe those that say his release clause was a lot lower than £30m that was claimed by Mike Ashley. At the time of the move, someone close to Newcastle said it was £16m but it's just not known for sure.

I think the Fofana fee is incorrect too as it included a sell on percentage so it's probably more like £40m.

Spend £75 million in advance of the last two seasons (on total shite by the way), and netted more than this figure in incoming fees

Rodgers maybe a complete and utter ****, but the player investment has also been of ****-level proportions

**** me we won the title only spending £20m.... excuses. We've gradually gone backwards under his stewardship.

It seems to me that the major problem at Leicester City is the lack of a clear plan: are we a small club grateful to hold Premier League status, or is the aim to be a force in the division?

If the first, then Brendan Rodgers was the wrong manager, we should sell Maddison whilst his stock is high and look to the Southampton model.

If the second, then we need more investment; either from selling the club to rich owners from the US or the Middle East or by bring someone alongside Top.

Our problem is trying to run with the big boys with a poor boy's pocket money.

Roughly £110m on absolute shite

Doesn't really account for the quality that we had in the squad when he came in.

Most teams in the league at that time would have taken Vardy, Evans, Maguire, Chilwell, Maddison, Ricardo (pre injury) etc etc.

Worth noting that Villa have come up from the championship and pretty much had to build a new squad during that time. Their only assets were Grealish and maybe McGuin.
