I understand they have got probelms with money.....with no parachute payments now or something. They dont want to commit to sign a 1.5 million player/1 million Euros.

Add in the Microsoft takeover....I am sure no current chairman will want to lose 1 million of his dosh.

In competition with Burnley for this signing......FFS we got beat them to a deal.

suddenly everything becomes clear!
 
I was told by a Soton fan that they were losing around half a million a month WITH the parachute payments. Their finances are a shambles. They can't spend a bean on players and will accept offers for anyone on their books who are earning decent money. It's takeover or bust for them and they are touting the club around desperately but anyone looking closely has been scared off.

They'd love Saggy but cannot hope to afford him.

Babylon I can read bits of Polish. Basically says his agent Jaroslaw Kolakowski says Leicester have aware their interest but they are extremely disappointed that a deal can not be done with Southampton. So they can will now look at the other options - Leicester and Burnley.
 
let show we mean business, get the chequebook out and make a 750k bid at least. worse case scenarion it shows we're ready to bid for quality players and we're gonna be a decent team next season...

He pays wages but doesn't spend much on Transfers,he'd rather get a Freebie in and pay a decent wage.I would think Our Striker signing will be on a Freemans..
Anyway I would imagine one out of Kisnorbo,MaCauley and McCarthy will want to go,they won't be content with being 3rd choice,not that we'd get much for them
