Is there a song called "Shit Or Bust" available on Singstar?

Or something with "Wellens" in the title?

Silly question, I know but; What makes you think that the squad that couldn't get within a country mile of the play-offs this season will gain promotion next?

Consistancy is the key in this division, not wholesale changes like we have seen last summer and the one before. The teams that do well in this division are the hard working teams with a good understanding of each other and a good team ethic - this cannot be achieved with constantly changing the playing squad. Hopefully by sticking with Pearson for sometime this will be allowed to be shown as was done in his first spell with us. There were very few changes during the summer we went up from League 1 and look how close we came to going up the following year and I would be confident in saying that the majority of fans would say we have a better squad now than when we did then.

Our current squad has proven themselves to be good enough against the top teams this season but for some bizzare reason, it's the lower teams that are our downfall when they should be the bread & butter wins. Get that right next season and play as well against the 'better' teams and we'll be right up there in the mix as I do not agree that we are a country mile away from it this season.

Add another left midfielder, possibly a centre and a right back isn't a bad shout though don't forget we have Luke Moore who excelled at Bradford, not the greatest benchmark I know, but also played very well in his games for us and we will have a good enough squad to do well from the start and also with the ability to changes things if things aren't going our way in games or injuries.

I will definitely have a shit somewhere between 2012 to 2013 so I'm going with that option, Chris.

Do I win the million?

I think alex had him once

And he's not been able to ride a bicycle ever since

I think there is already sufficient signs of improvement to justify keeping the bulk of the current squad together and allow Pearson to continue to work on improvement. This should help to address the issue of inconsistency and also provide much needed stability.

There is one other issue and that is the physical strength factor. To some extent I'm afraid you need to kick your way out of this division. We are still lacking a destructive capacity in midfield and to some extent up front. Given that it's near the end of the line for Steve Howard, we could do with an additional striker who provides that extra option when we need to pull something out of a game by route 1.

Personally I think we need as little change as possible this summer as that has been our downfall of the previous 2 seasons imo.

Keep Kasper and don't bother wasting money signing a back-up seeing as we don't even have a reserve on the bench. If Kasper gets injured we can always dip into the loan market for cover.

One of the 4 centre backs has to go really otherwise it will cause even further unrest. Maybe let Pansil go as he must be an extremely high wage per minute for us and has shown little to no sign of breaking into the team. The rest should be more than good enough for what we want to achieve next sesaon.

I think we need to sign a lefty for midfield, Dyer is good but not consistant enough and would be a brilliant player to be able to bring off the bench. Keep the centre 4 of DD, Danns, Wellens & King though maybe look to add a bit more creativity in there but those 4 as well as Marshall & Gally again, should be more than good enough. Moussa can stay if he wants but should probably leave for the good of his career as he always looked a decent player, but perhaps not the level we are aiming for.

4 strikers of Nugent, Beckford, Waghorn & Schlupp again should be up to the task, anyone else (Howard!!) can go.

We really don't need to change much as our inconsistancy on the pitch coinsides quite a bit with our inconsistancy in the squad and the core is there to do well in this league with the ability to dip into the loan market for a couple of extras if/when needed.

Completely agree. Successful teams are not built by massive overhauls. They need time with one another to work as a cohesive unit. The crux of Man City's starting 11 have played at the club for over a year and many of their new signings are struggling to have an impact in that team, barring Aguerro. Despite all of their money it has taken them time to get where they are. If we overhaul the team again in the summer we are likely to face problems again.

We now haves the basis of a good squad. We lack consistency of course but this can certainly be ironed out over the summer and during pre-season with the addition of a couple of extra signings perhaps to bolster the attack on the wing and also to add perhaps a bit more creative flair in midfield.

I'd certainly look at retaining Vassell provided he has still got his pace after he comes back from injury. He has been a very decent acquisition by Sven and has been fairly consistent throughout his time here up until his injury. Obviously the coaches will need to take a look at him to see if he can still cut it when he returns but I certainly wouldn't class him as dead wood yet and would be good competition for the likes of Dyer and Marshall.

I do think it will be a make or break season with regards to the owners, but that doesn't mean we need to overhaul the entire squad yet again, especially where it is not necessary.
