Reminds me of last year completely. We were treading water for a while with the odd good performance keeping us in mid-table. Then we suddenly sank and the realisation set in that we are just not good enough and can't buy a win. And then came the calls for the manager's head.

(then the recovery?)

if we had more up front, we could have won it in the first half, but we were never going to score, even with 11 men.

RK has nowhere to hide as he chose the same side as the Norwich game. Lost 3-1 and 4-1, what does that say for his judgement. :102: :102:

Re: Sheffield Wednesday Match Thread

I like Rob Kelly, he did well last season and has done well at times this season. However, the run we're on isn't acceptable.

I'm not sure if he should go or not - as I don't agree with just booting out the manager every time things go wrong, especially with him having less than a year in charge.

But things really do need to change, and fast.

I don't think he'll go, they won't sack him - just yet at least - think how long it took them to boot out Levein from when the fans turned on him - the fans have only recently (if at all) started to turn on Kelly.

However, as it has been said, all of this makes him being given the boot when Mandaric comes in a lot more of a real possibility... :icon_conf

I think he may resign

rk needs to step down now.not sacked but removed for the teams sake.
a caretaker put in place for the time being untill mm is in command.
the change might give everybody a break and maybe a honeymoon period might produce some results.

who would you put in place as caretaker?

Awful, awful, awful.

What a load of ****ing rubbish. I know the ref will get a lot of stick, but we would have lost without him, we were dreadful.

Didn't see the penalty incident, so I can't comment, other than I saw nothing to warrant a penalty. But McCarthy wrestled his man to the ground and you can't do that already on a yellow.

Every player was crap today without room for discussion
