Don't think that is fair. How can you be suspect for a penalty?

I don't think many Keepers would have saved the rest they were pretty unstoppabble.
But the fact is we are shit and getting worse.

I was in line with the shots and Logan's reactions for the three long-rangers were behind. He dived by the time the ball was past him.

The peno may be I am be harsh in a rage but its looked a weak peno and one which could be saved straight done the middle.

They were top corner screamers, he didn't stand a chance! Its clear we need a proper holding midfielder. The lads didnt really stand a chance the referee and linesman were nothing hort of woeful. Premiership ref, you're aving a laugh!!

Awful, awful, awful.

What a load of ****ing rubbish. I know the ref will get a lot of stick, but we would have lost without him, we were dreadful.

Didn't see the penalty incident, so I can't comment, other than I saw nothing to warrant a penalty. But McCarthy wrestled his man to the ground and you can't do that already on a yellow.

Every player was crap today without room for discussion

Would have been 0-0 or maybe 1-0 without the ref. Penalty was for high feet, but the foot was there long before the opposing head, good assist for styles for thier 2nd. We only scored because he wouldnt get out of the way of hughes, the wayward shot resulted in the deflection. Other than that the game was dead. Not sure about McCarthys 2nd yellow but it looked harsh, his 1st was shocking. He told maybury to stay back to let him chat to the ref then got booked, the captains should be allowed to speak to him IMO.

Well done Styles, hope you end up back in the prem with Uriah, Mike Riley, Graham Poll and that twat Clattenmole!!!

May well have been a poor Ref but surely you don't lose 4-1 at home purely because of Referees decisions and bad luck.We didn't muster a shoy on target in the first half

He was very poor and three of the goals were down to him, three of them were crackers and apart from that Wednesday offered little, I dont think they had a shot from inside the 18 yard box but neither did we.

When it was 2-1, Hammond and Porter had chances, Hammond was a poof shot blocked by a defender and Porter's was a good save. Apart from that we created little.

Anyone who says Williams is not our passer of the ball should have seen the cross-field ball he played to Stearman, he looked good until they went two goals ahead.

Absolutely.

It's an odd one - the ref cost us the game, I reckon. And as Lboro says without those awful decisions and his pass for the second goal, it'd probably be 0-0.

But after McCarthy was sent off, we were truly gut-wrenchingly awful for 10 minutes. As sad and bad as we've ever been. Which is probably what I'll take away from this match.

Psychology played a massive part for me, at 2-0 the lack of confidence and sense of injustice was more than enough for wednesday to win, the 'screamers' were probably a direct result of that. If the people closing down are half-hearted because they feel the way they are playing is irrelevent and the person striking is thinking ill ride our luck by having a crack, thats how we ended up 4-1 down. For me the psychology of the game was ruined by styles, we may have lost anyway, but not 4-1, CL had few (if any) saves to make.

As crazy as that statement sounds, if it is true, then every last fecking one of our players should be sacked.

How many tiimes do we see teams playing better with 10 men FFS, we know it, the commentators usually say it and the players know it. Why are we any different, why do we show no team spirit and unite together.

If what you are suggesting is true that we roll over due to an injustice, then I would be more pissed off than I am now. It shows a complete lack of team spirit and and complete lack of determination to overturn the odds. Pathetic group of players

If you lot are happy blaming the ref and not the players for "regrouping" and "fighting" then good for you

What you are saying is not untrue, but how many of our players have been accused of lacking the correct attitude at one time or another? As indivduals are players are good enough for this league, as a team they are not. The players are different, yet we are seeing the same things from 3 different managers in this league. We are not mentally prepared for this league, but unusually i empathised with the players today, as i dont feel they could have done anything to take centre stage on the rob styles show. Fair do's to wednesday though, 3 cracking strikes and took full advantage.

You've just contradicted yourself in the same sentance:102:. Logan was not at fault for any of the goals.

Levi and Hammond both had shots from about 7/8yards out. Were you even there?:081:

What annoyed me is the majority of 'fans' were applauding McCarthy as he walked off the pitch, what for? That mug cost us the game as much as the officials IMO.

What i hope for is that we don't all blame officialdom and wonder strikes too much, we were awful.

Positives? Hughes and Williams looked like at least they could pass the ball on the floor at times together.

Worst player? McCarthy aside, maybury was in a hoof league of his own today.

What was the plan 1st half? What do they do on the training pitch? What was the ****ing plan?

PS

Cheers Lazzer, had a pint in the 1884.....

PPS

Wore my 'lucky' LCFC socks to the game, they're currently on the fire. Forget it.

I would bring in Matt Holland!

I think we could probably get him in for not too much money, he is in good shape, is experienced, and could do a good job for us at this level.

Holland would be excellent, having said that, any fecker would be better than what we have.

Re: Sheffield Wednesday Match Thread

I like Rob Kelly, he did well last season and has done well at times this season. However, the run we're on isn't acceptable.

I'm not sure if he should go or not - as I don't agree with just booting out the manager every time things go wrong, especially with him having less than a year in charge.

But things really do need to change, and fast.

I don't think he'll go, they won't sack him - just yet at least - think how long it took them to boot out Levein from when the fans turned on him - the fans have only recently (if at all) started to turn on Kelly.

However, as it has been said, all of this makes him being given the boot when Mandaric comes in a lot more of a real possibility... :icon_conf

you're right they won't sack him...He'll walk when it's time...

I am very grateful to Rob for the job he did last year. It really was a great job that he did, but....

It won't count for shit if we end up relegated this season instead. I really hope and wish Rob every success, but I don't think that will be with us.

Sorry to Rob, but we have gone backwards. I loved it when he came in and made it clear that it wasn't a complicated game. He simplified and it had a great effect on the players who responded. However we never saw RK operate in adversity until this season and unfortunately we seem to be finding that he doesn't have a plan B when things go wrong. I also wonder how much of our former success was down to Ray Graydon.
