I agree Beighton, although where is Stephen Hughes? I would still like to see him partner Kisnorbo or Gudjohnsson, he looks a good player.

He does but he never seems to be able to get 100% fit. I have been calling for Kisnorbo's head for the past few games, but I thought today he did better, if he was still a little negative with his passing. I wouldn't drop Joey though, I though today he showed true class.

Who was captain btw today?

Kisnorbo was captain...I cannot work him out, he made a lot of important challenges in front of the back four and allows Gudjohnsson more freedom which are both good resons to play him with Hughes - however the passing always looked backward...Better though, much better...

On another note I felt the players' reaction at the final whistle showed great team spirit which was nice to see!

Yeah I can't figure out whats going on at the minute. I would say with the exception of Tuesday the past few performances seem like the team have been running at 30-40%. Today seemed like a leap to 120% so I don't know what has inspired them. It may just be having two pacey forwards, or it may be because they attacked. Can't fathom it!

it was great at the final whistle to see not just joey come over to the south stand to applaud the fans, he does that whether we play shite or not. more players seemed to appreciate the fans delight after a frustrating season.

Or perhaps with no 'big man' up front we played a more imaginative game which benefitted the side immensly. CL commented he felt Hume and Hammond played well together..Indeed Warnock felt the front four were' fantastic', bet he woujldn't have been as upstanding for mDeVries and Dublin playing with...

hume's fourth was impressive as it showed a footballer using his head, most players would of ran wide and hit it with his left but he knew he had the better of their defender and rounded him onto his good foot. often players get their critics for doing this but it highlighted that we were (for some reason not obvious from our recent results) very confident today.

Thanks for that. Good to hear that Hume looked confident today. As a young player (still only 22)... he needs a little confidence.

CL has taken a right load of stick lately and much of it IMO has been with some justification, but today he showed what this squad he has assembled is capable of, but he needs to stick by these players and tactics, the balance of the side today was superb and we looked a threat all over the park.

Maybury was back to his best today marauding forward, and his partnership with Sylla looks to be taking shape.

Sylla was superb today, I have been tearing my hair out at his lack of commitment and piss poor performances but today he was brilliant.

Kisnorbo and Joey had very good games, broke up play and instigated a lot of our attacking play with some decent probing balls out to the 2 wingers. We bossed the midfield.

Smith was immense, when the guy picks up the ball there is an anticpation amongst the crowd, he really is an entertainer and today he showed he has the end product.

Hume and Hammond were fantastic, yes Elvis missed 2 guilt edged chances which could have been costly, but he had the courage to keep getting into the positions, he didnt hide and thoroughly deserved his goal. Hume who said he wasnt a striker, his two goals today were real strikers finishes, his work rate is immense and his touch is brilliant, he is a skillful version of Paul Dickov.

Overall we were immense, the atmosphere was excellent and you could see the crowd were given a lift by the performance. If we can play in the same manner and commitment and with the same principles then win lose or draw I would be very happy. Today was entertainment and proved if we stand up and have a go we can match anyone in this league, today Craig you have given us a taster of what we can produce, please continue this way. You and your team were immense and put the pride and spirit back into Leicester City today.

Am I right in saying both of Hume's goals have come when playing with Hammond?

No, his goal against the sheep was after MdV came on for Hammond - MdV got the assist, in that game MdV and Hume looked better than Hammond and Hume.

I don't think Hume would have started today if it wasn't for MdV's illness, but maybe that's a bit lof luck that will be the turning point of the season.

Having four pacy attacking players all wanting the ball and showing good movement makes a big difference, we could easily have scored twice as many - Hammond should have had a hat-trick.

But the whole attitude of the team was different, we were more competitive in midfield and didn't give Sheff U time on the ball, we moved the ball around at pace, the passing was better, and the attitude was more positive.
Even when Sheff U were pressing for an equaliser we left two players upfield when we were defending corners, that's two more than earlier in the season!

YES!!!!!!!!!!

Just had a look at the highlights on World. It seems pretty clear that Elvis was glaring at an area of the Kop whilst not celebrating his goal. Anybody here sit in F1/E3? What have you done to upset him?

Also for their 2nd goal - it almost appears that Douglas had it in both hands but couldn't hold on to it. Anybody near enough to give an opinion?

Saw it on the Championship and he defo threw it in his own goal (best he makes his mistakes when they dont matter too much)

I saw it on Sky,Douglas virtually threw it in the net.I think the answer may well lie with that correct score he had written on that Ladbrokes slip in his pocket

Agreed. The little I have seen of Henderson he has looked superb, unlike Rab C who has looked sloppy and made a few mistakes. Henderson's saves at Cardiff were superb!

Henderson's a good shot stopper but is worse on crosses than Rab IMO. flaps at everything.
