What would you sooner see?

Leicester losing half of their games in the premier and staying up?

Or:

Leicester winning league one by a country mile?

I would sooner see my team compete at the highest possible level even if that meant we lost more games. Will the league one season live in my memory for a long time for all the victories and success - no. What does live in my memory is the premier years - some brilliant victories but some fantastic games where we didn't win - arsenal 3-3, newcastle 4-3....I could go on.

You probably will sooner or later.

I do not say that this is a universal principle, but I can remember the superb football played by Jimmy Bloomfield's team of the early 1970's. By far the most entertaining that a Leicester team has been in my lifetime, but broken up before it could win a major trophy.

I was delighted with the victories, and trophies, of MON's team, but do not get the same glow of pride. Indeed, in some cases. I can remember little more than the fact that we did win.

I would, therefore, suggest that winning is a quick fix, good football is a long term glow.

I wonder how many people had a warm glow travelling back from Palace or Burnley? Wonder how many will have a warm glow if we are relegated again?? Never mind as long we see the opposition score a few goals eh?

Didn't the Bloomfield team actually win games though? Perhaps that is why it is a good memory. Perhaps if they had played the same but conceded stupid goals in most games it wouldn't be as pleasurable?

Should football be entertaining?

Yet again the same suspects raise this tired and weary subject.
Should football be entertaining ? Answer yes it should. Is it always ? No not always. Is it more important than winning? Winning dictates the success of the club, with success comes investment. This in turn brings better players and therefore should be more entertaining.

Those games you mentioned were from a Martin O'Neill side who played very pragmatic football, a long way short of good or entertaining football.

You clearly define entertainment differently to myself.

What would you sooner City do:

1. Play in the premier, lose about half of our league games, get the odd tonking and finish mid table.

Or:

2. Take the piss in league one?

I know what I'd sooner take!

Personally I was just as entertained by our League 1 season as I was during the season I had my first season ticket (Twatlor's first year). That Prem season had some great games, 4-2 vs Spurs, 2-0 against Liverpool but on the whole, despite our mid table(ish) finish I still enjoyed winning L1 just as much. Winning most weeks is great, like when we last went up with Adams.

Winning in league one is like having sex with an ugly bird.
You get the excitement, but can't brag about it after.

Winning in league one is like having sex with a sheep.
You get the excitement, as long as you aren't put off by the rest of the family watching.

Whereas getting a 3-3 draw against the gunners is like having a grope with a stunner!

I have my opinions about this question and I don't care about anyone else's.

Yeah, but would you sooner see City lose in the Premier, or win in League 1?
If you can't answer that, your opinion is meaningless.
