I think the interesting point was 'Milan says if I keep winning I keep my job' (Or words to that effect). A couple of losses in a row after the feel good factor could mean end of...

If we start performing badly on saturday then the fans are going to turn on him.I don't think they have blamed him yet, choosing to vent their frustration at the Board but if Results and Performances don't improve then RK is going to have to face the music for the first time

I have to say that it is always a bad idea when chairmen start buying players. i dont mind mm using his contacts (a few unknown americans anyone?) in the game to get us some players but i dont feel its right that he should pick and choose who we sign. however is kelly really the man to do that instead? nope.

Agreed we would end up like Hearts are now

I'm also fed up with this petty money excuse.

He has a fairly decent bunch of players that are more than capable of competing with the other teams in this league

Me too. If he can't motivate what we've got, what chance is there of him motivating £9m worth of transfers.

Give him to the end of the season to ensure some continuity, but then it's got to be bye bye.

I think the board needs to get involved sometimes. ;)

MM is no fool. He knows that a massive 'rock the boat' right now is risky. He thinks, as I do, that RK and the current squad are good enough to survive this season, so be it. The summer is where I think we'll start to see MMs plans come to fruition.

£9, £90,000, £9,000,000, If you can't fire em up, it don't matter how much you spend.

About right.

MM would be crazy to trust Kelly with a transfer kitty. The extent to which he gave Harry Redknap more scope is irrelevant. Redknap is a top man - Kelly isn't. I don't think that decent players would sign for Kelly anyway. His time runs out in the summer unless something astonishing happens - and there is nothing to suggest that he is capable of achieving a good enough run to save his neck (as manager), still less lead the club into the Premiership.

Spot on...MM knows that this team are good enough to survive relegation and we will. Come the summer, the players are cleared out, Rob Kelly is out, then the cheque book comes out!

true you cant imagine kelly 'getting into them' before the start of games and at half time he will more than likely just say 'do your best lads'

I've alread heard Maybury on the radio explaining how Cov are gonna be difficult to beat.

But what do you expect? When was the last time you heard any player or manager from any club do a pre-match interview and say "they'll be dead easy" or something of that sort.

What about:

"Coventry are not in the best of form at the minute, they are going through managerial problems and it's an ideal time for us to play them.

We have just been taken over by a new owner and the future our club looks secure and the future is bright. The mood in the camp is excellent, adrenaline and motivation is at an all time high, and I expect Coventry are not looking forward to this match at all"
