The experienced players will probably not be surprised. I have some sympathy for Elliot Chamberlain as I have for any young player who is released - a young man's dream has been shattered and probably with it the dream of his parents.

Maybe he should take some solace from Vardy's history - released from his beloved Sheffield Wednesday at 17 and thought he'd never get a professional contract. Often these things are great catalysts.
