Shame if goes. I would have thought he would have preferred playing for an exciting Portugese manager than a boring British one!
Unless he wants to be closer to Newcastle.

He did have a couple of games where he had some tremendous link-up play with Gallagher.

I am all in favour of experience (at my age, you have to be) but, I cannot lose sleep about this and, if this really is the calibre of signing that Hull can expect, then Pearson is a lesser manager than I believed him to be.

Beat me to it, I think he still lives in Gosforth so distance could be the key. They're a massive club too of course.

We won't. His contract ran out and he's still to accept the six month offer of a contract (it's never been confirmed).

When the club offered him the contract the Mockery reported it as though the offer had been accepted, when it hadn't. A week or two later they said he was going to sign it that day, but there's been nothing from the club to say whether he did or not.

I don't know whether it's the sort of thing the club would tell us though. At the moment they seem far more interested in selling season tickets, new shirts, holidays and betting than reporting actual news.

I hope no one relies on the club's website to find out what's going on - or even worse, the laughably named "City E-Newsletter".
The latest edition of the newsletter makes no mention of NP leaving - even though it was sent out two days after he left. Instead it focuses on the important things - trying to sell us Sunderland tickets, new shirts, corporate hospitality, season tickets, books and kids coaching days.
Not one item of "news" in it, just advertising. It's been like that for some time, but they encourage people to sign up by saying it includes "the best of the week's news, interviews and features". Lying cheating spamming two faced tax dodging wankers.

All I remember is in about 4 consecutive games he made a goal line clearance.
Apart from that he always seemed to be looking for the "hollywood" ball, & they were about as successful as RN's long throws!!!!

I think he would be a decent player in midfield, His lack of pace will be exposed at the back.

Don't care if he stays or not, will only be a bit part player next season, if he wants to go I'd let him.

What does 'hollywood ball' mean? :102:
